I think it depends on how you ride. I ran a bulb for 4 years up until a couple of weeks ago. Its only started skipping in the last couple of weeks. If you're a heavy rider and dont engage the hub before you kick you WILL blow it to pieces in no time at all. I think its a great hub. Light, plenty of pick ups etc Get one. Chris

Sposed to be snowing in Kent tonight. Might be coming down tomorrow dep on weather conditions. Bit of a trek to possibly end up not being able to ride because of the weather. You got Chris's Control yet? Looks like i'm going back to a shorter bike. Dont ride rocks or natural at all anymore and i miss the feel of a real street bike. Going back to a Giant. Black one this time though. Only 100 squid and its mint.
