  1. But you aint pedalling

Well, you are though cus otherwise you ain't gonna go anywhere.

the trick is getting past your bad foot position, but essentially you want to be in exactly the same position as a forwards manual and try and keep even pedal pressure at all times. This is pretty tricky and at first you'll find it hard to make the transition between foot positions easily, unfortunately I don't have any magic tips other than practice and to try as hard as you can to keep that even pressure.

Yeh the issue I have is my balance point isn't quite right just yet and when I lean back, the pressure on the pedals just throws the front wheel up more. Out of interest, would you say 'perfecting' the manual and fakie individually first would help me learn this trick quicker?

Also Ali, what is it actually called cus I'm just guessing haha - cheers though dude

  2. Hey guys,

    Firstly, not sure if it's even called a 'fakie wheelie' but that's the best way to describe it imo;

Seen a few people on various videos do this trick, was just wondering if someone could explain the steps needed to learn it!

~Also, I posted in trials chat and not beginner as I wouldn't really call it a beginner move~

    Cheers :)

  3. We are at VERY early stages at the moment, so still brainstorming a lot of things.

Although we have been working on it for a few months, we both have full time jobs at the moment so things are going slow.

We are starting our own clothing brand.

    What type of clothing?

This is irritating, please don't say street/indie

  4. Well at least the second page of this argument got a little better.

Yes, it should be allowed to be tested with. Illegal drugs have been used in all different parts of different societies for medicinal purposes, cocaine was given to US soldiers during the first world war and cocaine was even in the drink coca cola (around 1940 I believe) to heighten their senses and keep them alert.

That nasal decongestant you use? Well that's basically speed, or at least a polymer of amphetamine. Yes, nasal decongestant is amphetamine.

Those pills your nan uses to control her heart? Yes, why they are your grandad's viagra (beta blockers and viagra are essentially the same, I know it's not illegal but I'm just making a point)

So out of all these, weed is relatively harmless really.

Secondly, it should be decriminalised for personal use. It will free up the courts and the prison's for people who actually commit serious crimes.

I also think there's a good argument that the government should sell it, the same way it does tobacco or the same way Amsterdam used to (cry cry). The extra money from weed tax would certainly help propel this country out of the recession. Not to mention then that it will cut street dealing and associated crime, also because it would be regulated by the government they can tax it at whatever they decide. Also, kids won't be tempted to try something that is a legal drug and less stigma around the subject means people can be properly educated and people with 'addiction' problems can seek the help they need without fear of prosecution.

If the government did legalise it though, they should also force MacDonalds to deliver just like they do in other countries...

  5. What has a straight couple's divorce hundreds of years ago go to do with gay marriages in 2013?

The fact that Religion can simply exist to serve one man's purpose for literally nothing but to twist the 'sacred teachings' of another.

Also, the fact that religion is basically pick and choose teachings, loosely based upon no ideals or anything, then people who are religious simply claim/feel morally superior.

I admit, it hasn't got much to do with current topics but I still feel it's an outlandish move on their part.

Oh yeah and discrimination and inequality may have been fine hundreds of years a go but quite frankly it's got no place in today's society, especially when religion teaches that all people are 'equal'

It just really bugs me that's all.

  6. I think their bishops or whatnot voted that regardless what the outcome of the legal issue is, the CoE and the Church of Wales will not allow same sex marriages in their cribs. So yeah, not so much banned as choosing to be sexualityist.

That's completely ridiculous. Anyone who doesn't support gay marriage and is an attendant of the CoE should realise that their religion ONLY EXISTS because Henry VIII wanted to divorce his wife and the catholic church wouldn't allow it, so he formed the CoE.

What utter bullocks. Says a lot about the sanctity of religious sacraments if you ask me.

  7. So does (+2) - (+2) + (+10) = ? Make any difference to what we're talking about?

You're still adding the 2 and the 10 together to get 12 according to bodmas regardless.

No because it would look like (2-2) + 10.

There is no possible way bidmas would give you 12 from that equation, no matter how you write it.

  8. Yeah ok but you're doing it wrong wrong then ;)

Because bidmas doesn't say group the two sums together.

    You can't parenthesis -2 + 10 at the end of a sum unless it's - -2 + 10.

Because the addition first would be +10 then - 2

    Not - (2+10)

As far as I'm aware, you only parenthesis something that requires work beforehand.

I can see your point though, and I'm sorry I can't justify properly as to why it shouldn't be -10, I just know that you don't parenthesis the last part, regardless of bidmas.

I'll ask my mate who did a maths degree and see if he can give me a proper reason :D

  9. Do the division first

    so

    4 x (2 ÷ 4) - 2 + 10

    Then the multiplication

    (4*(2/4))-2+10

    Then the Addition

    (4*(2/4))-(2+10)

So then you have 2-(2+10) which equals -10.

That's what you get when you use BIDMAS, but it gives you the wrong answer.

    It's still ten.

You did everything ok until the end when you put (2+10) into brackets.

    Here's how I did it...

    4 x (2/4) - 2 + 10,

    4 x (0.5) + 10 - 2 (swapped these the other way around to deal with bidmas, doesn't particularly matter anyway as 4 x 0.5 = 2 - 2 = 0 + 10 = 10)

    4 x (0.5) = 2 + 10 = 12 - 2 = 10.

I'm not totally sure why you're not supposed to bracket the last bit but I think it's because you have to leave the addiction and subtraction separate. I think if the original equation was:

4 x 2/4 - -2 + 10 then you could bracket the end bit as it requires work beforehand. Either way dude, just check on a scientific calculator if you're not convinced

  10. Where are your brackets?

    Do you mean (4 x 2) ÷ 4 - 2 + 10

    or 4 x (2 ÷ 4) - 2 + 10

There really isn't any need to put brackets in this one seeings as it's relatively simple.

If you did want to put brackets in it would look like this I believe:

    (4x2/4) - 2 + 10

Although, Bodmas, pidmas or whatever you use is fundamentally wrong.

    For example 4 x 2 ÷ 4 - 2 + 10 = ?

This actually equals -10. Not 10.

No dude, the answer is 10. Not sure how you managed to get -10 at all!

With bidmas it's 10 and without bidmas it still is 10.

A scientific calculator that has Bidmas programmed into it even says it is 10 :/

  11. Hey guys one of my close friends just got his mongoose sponcer from his new edit well worth a watch!

    http://vimeo.com/58039293 :)

Firstly, dude forgot to lock his car up!

I think it was pretty sweet but there wasn't anything ultra special or unique in there. Don't get me wrong, there's some sick riding but it just lacked something to make you say wow.

Maybe it's because it was a skate park though and there's only soo much you can do

  12. Really? Whilst I always say "maths", "math" is actually just as good a contraction of the word "mathematics" really, just truncates it rather than removing those oh-so-awkward fifth to tenth letters

Well, Maths is an acronym but it's also a shorter version of mathematics. Math I guess would be acceptable as a short hand version if the term was mathematic.

    MATHS=

    Mathematical Anti-Telharsic Harfatum Septonim.

Yeah, I've never even heard that term before!?

Surely the result of that 'equation' depends on the location / addition / lack of brackets?

No, Bidmas/bodmas is an order of operation, so it doesn't matter where the brackets are because the order you do them in is the same :)
