Really fortunate find -looks great. Nice elegant drive setup too !

If someone intentionally builds a snowflake pattern as opposed to just using up overly lengthy spokes , how on earth does one even calculate spoke length ? As for the picture - an unusually short fellow ? Seems he's compensating with excessive chain, spoke and brake cable length !
Also , always a joy to see a Base TA 26 frame still rollin'

That's one of the few components on a trials bike that you can trust a local bike shop to supply ,any steel jobby by a reputable manufacturer should do fine.

Yeah , that gap at 4:12 is ridiculous ! Neat video, some fun lookin' spots .
-
Really courageous commitment on some of those lines - sweet to watch ! The way you turn in midair for a landing - did you learn that from another discipline like BMX / dirtjumping ?

Watching someone with that level of proficiency playing around and enjoying it is a joy . Was he throwing out a bit of flair with the one hander during a comp or was that just training ?

Solo training session ? Solitary refinement !

... I'm working on a longer street trials video...

Good clean ,fun riding !

Effortless and accurate, a real pleasure to watch.

A little off topic here , but even for a racer / fixie this :
...headtube must belong to a colossal frame

Yeah I work with a few and all think a hammer is the solution to every problem.
It's hammer and sickle not cycle .For reals though there's a strong tradition of Russians going for a mechanically simple solution to complex problems sometimes to great effect ie the Kalashnikov .

How did other mainstream manufacturer's trial bikes / frames fare on the rare occasions that actually happened ? I recall Colnago , Bianchi and of course the Giant offerings ( no , not that famous speculative blue proto ) so does Giant still offer their trial frame ? If they couldn't sustain it with their colossal organization and distribution then G.T may struggle .
On the other hand , as pointed out they do have Mr.Belaey on board and it's been several years since a big bike Co. attempted this .

Cool feelgood thread, good show by the cops and the Tarty boys ! There's a special place reserved in Hell for bike thieves .

Ridiculously stylish lines and effortless smoothosity .

Really nice composure and deliberate riding . His foot position on the pedals is really far forward, surely if I emulate that I'll magically ride that smoothly.

Really cool ,pretty much exactly the kind of riding they're intended for.

Still a really enjoyable video , super deliberate riding with some unexpected flourishes . Stylish as Hell .

I doubt you'll find a smaller chainring than 22t for a conventional 4 bolt crankset , but a wider bottom bracket and or spacers on the driveside may help .

Some killer videos here ,sadly my favourite seems to have dissapeared , anyone still have it ? Entitled Justice Vs Simian , with Fred Gillet and a few others being downright awesome .

Brilliant all rounder , sweet extension / form on the condor too.

Onza's Ronnie is damned heavy but builds into an incredibly strong wheel and holds a grind well.

Looks good laced to King ,too !

I bet there are people on this forum now that, through no fault of their own, don't have any idea just how important Martyn was to trials.
What an awesome vid, and I'm sure it'll get the recognition it deserves, even though I'm absolutely certain he couldn't give a toss if it does or not.
Entirely agree.

Ridiculous . Technically challenging sections are one thing ,but some of these moves require downright courage ! Neat camerawork ,Mark in what was probably a hectic environment .
Fun fact : the first time I ever saw trials riding in real life was Kenny riding a demo in Holland - without the pressure of a comp he was generally jammin' , quite an introduction to the sport to see it's foremost practitioner at the height of his athletic skill just riding for the fun of it.
