Video was certainly different.. didnt really have the buzz of your others.. but i guess that ora(sp) about it certainly meant summot was changing. Those frames look really nice, esp. the 20" frame. Good luck with it bro. J.

Basically, Andy, you're going, cos im going See you all there.. hopefully it wont be too busy to ride anything! J.

Mines 409/500. Didnt think much to it to be honest. But pretty good for a tenner. Ive described it to people as comparable to a cheesy skateboard video in terms of filming and editing. However, some riding is wack, but its few and far between... if that made sense? Worth getting if you've got a spare tenner and some spare time. Although, by the looks of things (from the credits) these guys are all students, so how they fitted all the filming, editing etc in whilst at uni confuzzles me, so good on em for how much they achieved whilst being educated with work to do at the same time. J.

My guess is that we all used his bandwidth up (my fault for posting, soz Alex lol)... and by the looks of the pricing on the .Mac accounts, Alex is paying way too much money for this site! You can get it by contacting him... or im sure somebody can msn it you. Jonny.

What Things Wind You Up About Trials
Jonny Jones replied to wilky_mod_legend2's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Being told to 'Go and find a mountain' in skate parks... or random bmx'ers in passing cars shouting odly enough 'Get a BMX'. People having small/no seats on their bikes... Ive tried it, couldnt stand it. Strange designed frames. The politics behind Trials. Seems people sometimes forget why we ride. J. -
None. The forum may be full of members, but from a commercial point of view, the market isn't big enough. I took this up with 4130 Publishing not so long ago (guys who publish RIDE, DIRT, DOCUMENT etc) and they said exactly that - theres no market. The sport isn't big enough yet J.
-
Couldn't really see a lot in that video, was too dark... but I got the idea, was bloody impressive! J.
-
Yeah I remember him from Sprung. Haz, you can export as QuickTime in Premiere 6.5 and/or Premiere Pro as well as FCP. J.
-
Cos the frame sizes are very small. Plus I think Rankin uses Final Cut Pro and I recon theres loads of settings on there to fiddle with. Im getting a G5 Quad soon with luck, so all my stuff with be QuickTime. Bongo, how'd if feel to be on TV? :P J.
-
I think the guy's awesome. How anybody can memorise all of those tricks... but I suppose being in any sport long enough and ull pick things up. Im getting a BMX next year, will you? J.

Like Si said, get the .mov version - smaller file size. Its dead good quality so you can easily stretch the window. I recommend downloading it though, not streaming it as you can watch it again and again and again and.... ye get me? :) .mov = QuickTime (just so you know) Problem? Click Me. Just awesome how Rankin can adapt his shooting and interview style to TV as well as DVD's etc. EDIT: The .m4v file is the real broadcast version, with countdown clock and everything. Proper 4:3 size so you get the Widescreen Letterbox - higher quality too? J.

The TV show that Alex Rankin/4130 did is available to download on Alex Rankin's .Mac website. Click Here Bloody awesome! Jonny.

I guess take your crank off and look at the taper/spline? Sounds like its rounded, pure and simple. J.

Anyone Know Anything About Adobe Prem 6.5 Installation
Jonny Jones replied to joe b's topic in Videos
:)--> QUOTE(joe b @ Dec 5 2005, 09:20 PM) ← Ah, ok, Jonny ;) . So if i were to get the disc copied off someone, lets see... Some who is really really really special and loves me loads  B) then i will send them a tenner for the postage and their efforts. Then maybe i could use the serial code i have to work it fully... How's that sound? Think it'd work. Cheers, Joe. (Y) No it wouldnt. Tomm has the right idea, however. May solve the problem(s)... best of luck, dont d/l. J. -
You have to buy them. Downloading really isnt an option if you love editing. J.

I remember about 5/6 years ago when i was first getting started with trials websites. MSN Communities, oh yes! I was doing exactly the same as you are. You prob dont know much about making sites (technical side) - i didnt when i was starting out. Think you've done pretty well. Is that video 3G or summot!? Dont get it!? Take the time to read some tutorials about making sites (html, photoshop etc). Jonny.

Anyone Know Anything About Adobe Prem 6.5 Installation
Jonny Jones replied to joe b's topic in Videos
It wont work. You downloaded it  Even if you get it going, you'll have lots of problems and you wont be able to edit much... dunno why, many people have had the same problem(s) in the past. Trials-Forum doesn't support the use of Downloaded Software anyway, so dont go posting about it again, or you could be banned. J. -
No offence, but for the sake of your business, I really would be nice to people. WTF is happening to this place? Jonny.

Not a bad effort for a new video, esp. with a new camera. Its cool you're progressing on the ol' sidehops, I cant sidehop to save my life... its a mental thing im sure of it! Couldn't stand the 'My House' 'My Bike' - thought it was a bit pre-school or something... and the photos of wales?! Surely you could have faded the music and the footage of the amazing rocks you have on your doorstep? But I know what its like when you're making a video and you're really getting into it, ideas come flying in from all over the place - this is a good thing, but you just have to filter some of them, trial and error really  Keep it up non the less >_< J.
-
Ahh right yeah, fair play >_< Yeah new things can take ages to get used to. Im guessing the auto-ND filter kept coming on hehe, thats the problem I had with my mates XM2, constantly having to turn it off lol! Best of luck with it all! J.
-
Ye should be a spectacular release. He's worked so damn hard on every aspect of the DVD and he'll be going places afterwards  J.
-
Great effort, too much slo-mo and a bit too much black video? Riding was pretty sweet, although a number of shots were under-exposed. Did you use the XM2 for this video? J.
-
Doubt I'll be there now, I agreed to work. J.

I think this was the general idea behind Ashton frames. Martyn wanted to adapt the Moto Trials designs to his frames. Jonny.
