  1. I'm going to leave my How-To that I made a long time ago: http://www.pinkbike.com/video/128797/ I also forgot to mention the most important thing: You need to crounch on your bike while you carve before hopping !
  2. The point is really that he brought attention to himself as a trials rider, which he is, but the general population tought trials involves tricks. Sure, his riding is on a «Next Level», and i really like it. A Neil Tunnicliff youtube video led me to him in 2004/2005, doing tricks in a 'pure' trials bike back then. @peter_t : Thrashzen is worth a mention!
  3. I really respect and like Danny Mac, but he does not portrait the real Trials riding with the recent videos. General population is still very unfamiliar with normal trial riding. «Oh I know, trial is what that english bloke does, what is his name? Danny something ... Can you do frontflips too?» Ali C is less flashy and less know to the public, but he rise the bar with techy lines
  4. Overkill is an understatement
  5. My rockman's blue plastic backing just crack. And I want to try a CNC version with a better compound
  6. Greetings, I want to change pads and I narrowed my choice to TNN LGM or Heatsinks Yellows CNC or TNN ADM. I have done my research on here, but some posts were from 2012 and compounds may changed a bit. Performance wanted: On/off feel and good hold. My rear setup: Magura 2004 with TNN clamps and integrated booster. Echo TR double wall rim (I think it is) I will give a fresh grind to my rim, but the pads will enconter most of the time a light to dull grind. What should I get?
  7. Ali C : if you say so I believe. But I would be very reluctant in buying riveted disks. Weight wise there is no argument
  8. The point: Ice Tech technology will not have any effect in trials riding, no high temps are reached. They can be stiffer but they are rivited to aluminium spider, and IMHO not worth the risk.
  9. I'm almost positive that Hope disks are thicker than Shimano's. I dont see any advantage in trials riding using the rotors Ice Tech technology. They are too rivited as the Hope floating disk. Hope's floating are great for everything except when they have to deal with suddent stops, they will develop play in the rivited sections. Or just explod like it happen to a friend of mine. Not recommended for street riding and even less recommend for trials!
  10. 0:19 and 1:01 ... I'm happy to see that you are finally motivated and past that period. Trials is not the same without you man! PS - nice red pants
  11. Re bleed for shure. Rode with that brake with suberb stopping power, and it was not spongy (for Shimano standarts) Are you sure that you rotor is compatible with sintered pads? Some shimano rotor only can be used with organic pads.
  12. @ perez: Bodies are Burning - Complete Control Shazam!
  13. @ waybe2014: Just as I said @ dngr2self: Thank you! I recently discovered I have my Rockman frame cracked so no Trial for some time But I will be posting some 1min videos time to time
  14. Thank you all. I learn some stuff but it was basicly adapting previews knowledge to new conditions.
  15. Complete new to trials with a trial specific bike. Almost 8 years of MTB street in the background. I have learned trial bits, just like pedals kicks and the basics with a 34:16 ratio,14.5kgs, 26", low BB, suspension mtb street bike (you can check my riding in the YouTube channel)
  16. My first trial video, first week with a trial bike:
  17. Not great for locking power. Get a Saint it is well worth the money and far superior to those SLX
  18. Crack or snap the headtube? Are they snapy happy? What about BB area? I dont do hooks.
  19. Now I'm confused. Can you tell me the full experience you had with this frame?
  20. Was not you, who had a pure with a crack welded?
  21. Greetings! I'm considering buying a Echo Pure 2012 frame. Any reviews on it? I'm in a need for a strong frame (BB zone)
