  1. have any of you riden 1? personally i love the feel they have as they feel a lot like a mod but a control would be a better choice for all round performance. lewis
  2. correct me if im wrong, but because the site/shop is in another contanent, will the buyer have to pay import taxes on top of the original price and the shipping costs? Or can the import taxes be avoided if the sale is 'private'? The prices are crazy good if the website is legitimate and would be worth buying from there directly. lewis
  3. Well, it depends on what you are planning to do on the bike. The 06 pitbulls have a higher BB so are nicer to sidehop when sidehopping a 'higher' wall and are all round great frames. Although many people have the view that the higher BB makes it hard to bunnyhop and tap, however I prefer this set-up when riding other bikes. The 07 on the other hand has more of a 'standard' geometry feel to it and is an all around great bike and even comes with the option of 116 mm spacing so that a derailler/tensioner does not have to be run to keep the chain tight, so less money is spent in the long run. Also both of these frames are really quite strong and last ages. lewis
  4. firstly, have you snapped the bolt inside and is still inside? assuming so, you may have to drill it out, then helicoil the mount. this is normally quite cheap by an engineer or a LBS, about £5-£15 lewis
  5. well done mate, not a bad video at all, apart from the music, the music was terrible, it made me want to smash the screeen and speakers so hard, sorry for the rant. lewis
  6. ok cheers, i really want the fastest solution so if anyone has used a leeson frame with 360 housing an not used the 360 mounts, please tell..... cheers lewis
  7. hi, Where can I get replacement 360 fixings from, i need a through bolt and the side with a thread in. Would fun bolts be ok straight into the 360 mount housing or would they move a lot? Do these have to be purchased from clive or can i get them from somewhere else? cheers lewis
  8. snapped my lever body taping a wall. Funny thing is i didn't fall or anything, it just snapped when i pulled the lever broken many nipples and spokes, i am currently running a tensioner without a hanger thats in 1 peice lol lewis
  9. you could buy 2 tensiles for the same price of an ENO, but the ENOs have more parts available for them and rarely need repairing anyway. To be honest those 12 engagements make a very small difference when you're riding. For the price ENOs are great, but tensiles are better. lewis
  10. They give different feels to the bike in general. Shorter frames, like monty's, are better for 'springier' moves and natural, whereas newer and longer frames, such as pythons, are a more streety frame and are more suited to 'new' moves like sidehopping etc.... lewis
  11. Most of the try-all freewheels i have ridden seem to be ok but dont seem to be very strong and dont feel great, plus all the ones I have ridden have skipped while I was riding them ( like having a go). Tensile freewheels are great, i had one for about 4-5 months and was great, sounds mint, feels sturdy at the feet and has great reliability, it was sold on and is still running strong. Only a few skips I have seen from a tensile. The price difference isn't a great deal and even though the try-all freewheels are more expensive, the tensile frewheels are great value and are relatively cheap compared with many other decent freewheels. I would replace the grease with a lube also to ensure greater feel and life expectancy. I'd definately go for a tensile any day of the week . lewis
  12. i may be have a stupidity moment but could a shock or suspention point be reversed so that it would create more spring, like having a higher pressure and very high rebound?? lewis
  13. hey, wud u be interested in swappin ur A3 for a well specced pitbull?? - king, burns etc

  14. i still have one on the front, stupidly strong rims. Run quite low pressure at the mo and have HEAVILY rimmed out on the front a fair few times and the rim has just laughed it off likes its nothing. Just a bit narrow for the rear. lewis
  15. old style saracen x-cell?? x-ile?? maybe something like a handsome dog maybe or a jump style frame. lewis
  16. just ignore it and i twill go away eventually, koxx will realise no-one likes them and will try more, then will run out of money so they will stop doing them....... lewis...
  17. cheers for the help lads, summer will be good with a new frreride/DH bike
  18. just have to get the £800 now lol
  19. money dont grow on trees and would take ages for me to save up for some new 1's, and i dont want something new thats just going to buckle straight away. the wheel is 32h but is built the way that the picture suggests, it says the bike is a freeride monster of a bike so should hold up. If the wheels do end up buckling realy bad then i could complain to CRC?? lewis....
  20. hey, just looking on Chain reaction cycles and saw on a new bike i may be buying that it has a very strange wheel build. Could anyone shed some light on whether they would be very weak/strong etc............ This is the only thing putting me off at the moment with the bike. on this bike lewis....
  21. i had superglue holding my back brake on on my zona and then had jubilee clips on aswell as the superglue. Made a bmx-1finger lever for my bmx maggy. lewis
  22. no point trying to make black pads any better, it just wont work!!. Better off investing into some ZOO! pads, then the rim stays strong and the brake is mint still. As for the front, if you grind youre rim then make it very light or the black pads will wear down in about an hour. Just try and get some new pads front and rear. lewis.....
  23. or get monty 'eagle claw' tyres, very much like creepy crawlers but they are grippier and lighter and last ages. and.... Do echo still do the front tyres in 26" ? Can remember seeing them ages ago and wondered if any shops still sell them..... lewis..
