Yeah, but there's other things to worry about, like stretching and how well it wears (Will it fall apart after 3 months?) and indeed weight. I can't see any reason to use one of those over a Kool, but never mind.
  2. Blimey, that's slow :P

    I Have...

Yeah, I thought it would be quite a cool summer job or something :P
  4. Which one, the rear? There's enough slack to spin it both ways. Unless of course I spin it and then crash making the bars spin more, in which case I could easily rip the hosing out :P
  5. What I meant was that the wall of the tube was wide, so the hole was actually very narrow. Sorry :"> Got one thanks, but ShitBMX is way more fun :) Actually, the answer was kinda there all along. Total bodge job, but it works :P As Rich said, a Shimano brake outer will fit through the hole in a star nut. Only just mind (If the cable was 0.1mm wider, it wouldn't fit) - They're made to go together :P Anyway, I was contemplating this and was trying to work out how I would tension my headset, and then I remembered that you don't really need the star nut/top cap once you've tightened the stem clamp up. This is the result: Quite happy with that for half an hour's work. It feels quite nice surprisingly. I was expecting the extra bent cable to make the front brake feel really bad, but it's only slightly stiffer than before. The only problem is that if I need to tighten the headset/change stem etc I now have to take the cable all the way out again, which is a bit annoying :P Now I just gotta get out and learn those tailwhips :P P.S. Note how far the steerer comes up the stem :P
  6. Inspired :P Apart from that, nothing, unless you just want a street/jump thing :P

  10. Hmm, didn't think of that. Although I'm sure that's what I did originally, unless they come with one in, I can't remember. Might have to go for plan B :P
  11. Yes Yes, but you can increase the number of clicks per revolution of the cranks, which is actually what you're interested in. Think about it (Running 18:12 for simplicity's sake): When your cranks go round 12 times, the rear sprocket turns 18 times, agreed? I.e. for every revolution of the cranks, the freehub moves through 1.5 full revolutions (540 degrees). So it clicks 1.5 times as many times :P
  12. Oh no I see, we have crossed wires. I was just saying that since the holes were in the middle of the rim, it doesn't matter which holes you use. Of course the drive side spokes still need to be shorter, I'm not that stupid :P
  13. It's true, this'll get closed as soon as a mod sees it. But even so you would have thought if you wanted to sell it you'd put a link up :P
  14. It's been posted four times now and I'm f**king sick of it :P Just think how annoying it would be after every one of his posts (And other people when they decide it's cool too). Although I have a solution: Adblock :P
  15. So I can put a star nut in that allows me to run my front brake cable through the forks (Like on BMXs) :">
  16. Isn't that where the spoke hole offset measurement comes in? Or am I missing the point?
  17. Just that picture would really annoy me if I had to see it in between every post. I mean it looks OK and all, but it's not very interesting. In fact I've only seen it twice (Thanks to whoever quoted it :P ) and it's already boring. If there were pics in sigs, I would turn sigs off, simple as that.
  18. Yes but Echo forks are really wide at the bottom so I don't think that way will work...
  19. Yep, square's just as good. The only thing is you need to keep an eye on the bolts, just in case. (If you want a 68x118 FSA Platinum BB for cheap, let me know :P )
  20. Just a quick question: Am I gonna be able to get the star nut out of my Urban forks, or is that just a pie (sic) dream?
  21. Yeah, just hit it in harder :P

Well people used the Shadow Conspiracy ones for a bit because they looked cool, and then they found out they were shit and stretched all the time. BT were just about 3 months too late jumping on this particular bandwagon... On a side note: Do BT make BMX stuff as well as trials?

    Oh Dear God!

    Yes (Not a bleached one)

    I Have...

Yeah, but couriers are a weird bunch of people. A friend of mine did it for a bit and he said that they're all society's rejects who don't fit in anywhere so they risk their lives every day for post...
