  1. When i become a daddy, i'm not going to let my lad leap off walls and wobbly stacks of pallets at the age of 6 / 7, i'll encourage him to start trials at a young age, but to me a young age to start trials it about 11ish, and i'll buy him a T-pro, of the equivilant, or let him use my bike. Mike!!!
  2. Can you backhop? if you can't backhop then you don't have a chance at pedal kicking. First you ned to learn how to backhop, and once you get the hang of that you need you get into a backhop, then leav forward slightly and release the back brake and pedal about a sixth of the way round, and as you do this you need to hop, so basically it's a backhop but you lean forwards and pdeal. once you've done that you need to bring your feet back to how you like, and pull the brake again. you may have to hop about a bit to keep your balance, you'll get the hang of it eventiually, but you'll have to keep practising (sp). you'll probably have to adopt your own method, because everone is different and therfore rides differently. Hope i help Mike!!!
  3. I can only do smallish sidehops like 4 pallets high, but the way find easiest, is getting quite close to the pallets (or whatever your sidhoping onto / over) and slow right down so your coasting along at like 1mph then lift the front wheel up as high as you can and as you do that lean to the side, then while the back wheel is still on the floor pedal like a quater of a turn if that (like you do in a pedal kick) and move your weight over to the side your hopping to and forwards so your level with the handlebars and then pull the bike up under you as close to your ass as you can. make sure you've got your brakes on when ou land aswel. I'll make a short video when my wrist gets better, it won't be very high but i'll try and make it as clear as possible! Hope i help Mike!!!

So your saying keep your bike till it brakes, i'm sure most people would love to but when all the new bike parts come you just have to own them, besides it'll get boring if you just sticked with a standard T-Bird or whatever you owned from when you were starting Trials, also it would limit you. Your theory would only really work if you bought a really expensive bike from the future when you were entering trials, then by the time you get good your bike will just be being released onto the market... sorry to pick mate but it was a sort of stupid post. Mike!!!
  6. He sounds like a nice guy your 'mate' i don't see how it's your fauly that it broke unless you like intentionally landed it wrong like both wheels a the same time, and forced your weight down on the pedals as you landed (which i'm guessing you didn't) where did it actually brake? and how long did your 'mate' own it for and does he do any drops, and gaps etc? or does he use if for a road bike? even if he did charge you surley you could have came to some sort of negotation about it where you both pay half of you get a second hand one for him seems the one you broke wasn't brand spanking new. No offence to your 'mate' Mike!!!
  7. Oh right cool that doesn't sound too hard, i'll do that but they do return a bit, just it feels as if there is too much fluid in my system but i have to pull the leaver back to about half way before the pads hit the rim. i'll give it a go though, thanks for the help mark Mike!!!
  8. I think that program sucks, the nest avatar has to be original like the original bycicle (the penny farthling) Mike!!!
  9. It's probably best to just stil the the wheels that frame was designed for. I cann't imagine it being a nice bike to ride, it'll feel weird, and it'll looks rather Thilly! Mike!!!
  10. Oh right cool, thanks for the help Chiz! Mike!!!
  11. Niiiice! great riding, don't forget a bangin' tune to go to your final peice, and when you pur the fades in if you must use so many only use them to go from clip to clip not during the clip, and maybe film the tricks for a little longer so we can see you land them rather than just see your back tyre hit the floor / crates Some nice riding there though, lovley sidehop up the pallets, and i liked the big drop gap from like 7 pallets to 1 Keep up the awsome riding Mate Mike!!!
  12. you can get spacers that go between your leaver and your grip stopping it from sliding down, or you could just use duct tape, thats what ive got on mine! Mike!!!
  13. Thats not really a good enough reason to say that Halfords sucks just bacuse it's Halfords. Mike!!!
  14. I'd go a little lower really, more around the 850 - 900 mark But if you advertise it for that then your' bound to get hastled down a little Mike!!!
  15. Yeah i think halfords do do Work exp cos i was going to do it but then they decided that they didn't have enough staff in order for me to do it, but the told me to come back when i'm 16 and they'd offer me a job / apprentis (sp) i'm 16 soon and wondering whether to take up their offer, i hear the pay isn't anything special, but the work looks good i know the ins and outs of a car too so i might try and like alternate between bike hut and the car part, but just working on the shop floor would be ok, i'm sure it beats washing up and waiting in a pub Mike!!! i've never had any bad experiences with Halfords anyway, the one i go to is actually really helpful Edit: Did you have to make a new topic about this couldn't you just use on of the others? there is plenty of them. a new one is made about once a month, and they all seem to say the same thing, if you don't like Halfords, thats great.... why do you need to tell the rest of us? were big boys now we can decide on our own oppinions. sorry to be blunt but i'm starting to get sick of posts complaining about Halfords.
  16. Cool Well done mate but be sure not to forget about the pre-member's area and still post in it! Mike!!!
  17. i think basically bigman has what everyone was describing, and to settle some arguements Here are a few definations of what 'Chavs' are, and they're on T'internet so they must be true Mike!!! Bigman your so F****ing lucky!, and i bet there's no chavs areound there, and living on a fam your sure to have an air rifle lying around somewhere!
  18. If you think about it, most people have a lot more good street / urban areas near them, unless they live out in the country, the nearest thing to me is about 9/10 large boulders placed outside my local Aldi store. so for people to make a good video with a range of different locations on natural sections then they're going to have to get to these places, and when you want to make a video in a week or two it'll be hard to find the time / places. which is most probably why the majority of the videos you watch are street, besides personally i think big gaps and drops are more exciting!! Mike!!!
  19. is your name based on the band EMERY? if so good on you mate i absolutley ador their music, i have 2 of their albums ('walls' and 'The Question') both are absolutley awsome, The Question is better my favourite song is left with alibis and lying eyes. If your name isn't anything to do with Emery the band, then i've just made a complete cock of myself really! Mike!!!
  20. Thanks for the comments guys and for you 'Koxx1' i've had my hair cut off now! the comments were a lot more possitive than i had imagined. and the reason for the choice of music was because i did it for an English project at school, initially i started editing to some limp bizkit but too much bad words in it so i chose Trapt which was a lot less harsh, i got a B+ for my project btw! thanks for the feedback Chaps Mike!!!
  21. There are a few videos of sections, mainly comps but i think you'll just have to look around. Good luck mate! Mike!!!
  22. Don't you think this question would be better suited in the "Random Small Questions" thread, does this really deserve it's own thread... Mike!!!
  23. I thought instead of making a new thread just for this question i'd use this one made by Chris to ask about my maggie problem. I've just bled Both of my brakes, and when i came to moving the mounts on my front brake, i reaslied that my cylinders don't come back in all the way, then stay out a bit, i'm not sure why, but it means i've had to move my pads away from my rim a bit, it doesn't make too much difference to me, but i'd like to get them back to normal if i can, has this happened to anyone else? or does anyone know how to fix this, it's almost as if there is too much fluid in the system. They still stop me well. and also i have a light gring on both of my rims and was wondering what pads to get next cos my standard HS33 ones tend to give a little, i was Thinking of getting Koxx Bloxx's browns. Thanks lads Mike!!!
  24. Try moving your leavers around, and you know how your bars have a slight bend in them, try turning them so they feel more comfortable when your leaning forward. thanks Jonas, my wtist is feeling better but i'm gonna leave it for a few more days to ensure i don't do any more damage! Mike!!!
  25. Personally I'd go for the T-Pro frame a lot stronger, and cheaper, and doesn't look much worse. so T-Pro All the way! Mike!!!
