  1. I have ridden on a bike with a profile (zoo python) and a bike with an eno on it (monty 221ti) and i much prefer the profile hub over the front freewheel setup. I can trust it more and i arent conststantly worried whether its going to skip or not, get a profile, the limited edition colours are mint too, look on Tartybikes
  2. Yes but thats in dollars? How does that work, is it automatically converted from dollars to pounds when they take the money from your card?
  3. Erm, it was waynio, he said to double up the springs then use something light like gt85 to lube it, so clean all of the grease out. He said that his hub has lasted for over a year like that.
  4. I have been advised to double up the springs in my hub, how do i do this? Do they fit side by side or one on top of the other? Any help would be much appreciated as i may be able to get my hub working a bit again for now.
  5. The exact same thing happens to me a couple of months ago, luckily i had a spare spring though. B)
  6. I preload anyway though, im not a heavy rider by any means, ask people who i ride with. B)
  7. How does this stop wear on hubs?
  8. Lol class video lads! Some nice riding and funny bails (except the one off the big drop). I saw myself in the background on some shots too lol. B)
  9. Hmm i may have to do that (again)
  10. lol when you were backhopping next to it i thought you were really going to do it! Lol funny though! (Y)
  11. I have done that before and even though i did get a whole new hub for free despite my ran-out warranty it took them about three months to send me the hub! I had to but a deore just so i could ride!
  12. I have just completely knackered my hope rear hub again and its royally peed me off. B) I have gone through about four hope mono hubs and i am fed up of them now, they last me about five or six months before they need new internals. I was meant to be going for a ride this sunday too but i doubt i can now unless i buy another brand new hope (i have £130 maximum to spend) yet if i do it will turn out to be a waste of money. I was going to buy the hope pro two rear hub when it comes out but i cant really wait that long as my bike is currently useless. What should i do? Buy a new hope hub again or wait? I have two weeks left of my school summer holidays too so i did want to ride. :P
  13. I have used koxx browns and i was impressed. They may not have the squeaky sharp bite to them like zoo pads (i have used those on a grind too), but once the brake is locked they wont budge. They have lots of lock but not much bite. I ran mine on a harsh grind too and in a few weeks riding they have shown no wear signs at all. Also its sometimes nice to have a silent brake as it makes you sound smoother and you dont annoy people with high pitched squeals everytime you pull the lever. I know very little about coust pads except that they are very hard to get hold of, or so i heard. B)
  14. Ooh piccys, nice! I bet youre being modest about your skills again arent you?
  15. Oh i wont bother then, i thought it would just be like taking the stickers off my koxx frame, hairdryer to soften them then peel em' off! B)
  16. Ok how do i go about doing that? What do i need to use? Cheers for the reply though, i would have got nowhere the way i was trying to get them off! :">
  17. I ordered two sets off the heatsink website and i thought they would be like my zoo pads on a grind, super powerful and sharp but at the sacrifice of wear life. I fitted them on and set up my brake really well but i was dissapointed, they were just like my koxx browns, no bite, no sharpness or noise but just a swooshy sound and good lock. I was hoping for them to be super shap and squeaky but they dont even have that and are wearing down very fast. For £6 they arent bad, im gonna wait till i get my new wheel which i wont grind until i fit the other set, when these have worn the koxx pads are going back on for now.
  18. I have a set of silver lite guy forks and fancy stripping the stickers off so they are just plain silver, how do i go about doing this? I have tried it but they dont seem to have any edges so i cant peel them off, how have people done this?
  19. Ditto, she doesnt look to be a bad rider either!
  20. Anyone else up for it? Come one, theres some good spots to ride including the infamous signhills school with the trials playground!
  21. Lol i would like to think thats fake because that is quite a height and youre not even on a trials bike. B) Please put us out of our misery and tell us if its real or not.
  22. Yeh thats completely rubbish! I could do twice that height! Lol joking, that is huge!, lets see some more piccys. B)
