  1. I "specificly" want some addys, or just names even of some decent model shops, not just the ones that do the die-cast £5 jobbies and already built models.

    edit again:

thats more like it, they look the part! Good job trialsboy560 :S

  2. :S tryed

I am looking for somthing just a teeny weeny more specific :P

edit: Cheers trialsboy, I found that earlier, but I looked for ages for ones that I liked the look of, but then my eyes started to hurt, so I stopped. I will have another look.

  3. I have been searching google for hours now trying to find somwhere that sells model kits but without any luck.

I am after either motorbikes (I would love a crosser or trials one if they exist?) or racing cars, the bigger the better, I just want somthing to build and possibly paint because I need somthing to do!

so if anyone knows any shops that do these kind of things, can you let me know please.

    Ta (a very bored) Al

  4. oh my god!!!!!! koxx have stolen my frame design!!!!1111!!11

I must have done that design over a year ago, Tarty tryed to build it in CAD but then decided it wouldnt work too well as the bb shell would fall off.

Oh, and the site is crap, I went on once and I wont be going on again :o

  5. mine is currently sitting in pieces after the left tab snapped off (the bit the fork sits on), its proving to be a royal pain in the ass to get a new part.

I dont blame it for breaking though, it happened when my forks snapped at the disk mount and flexed forward, not many hubs could withstand that.

I am sure mine cost me more like £20?

  6. brisa b26 frame

    pashley frame

    pashley forks

    bmx forks

    monty rim

    ck hub axle

    ameri clasic axle thingy

    lots of mechs

    lots of vp pedals

    azonic x pedals

    dmr v8 pedals

    a few magura levers

    2 or 3 spokes

    dmr saddle

    I think thats it

  7. wide bars

    Pro:

    good controle

opens up your chest, so can breath more air (dubious)

    Con:

wider bars make you tired quicker (try doing press ups with your arms far apart)

    can possibly snap easier

    heavier

    cant fit through tight areas

    Narrow(er) bars

    Pro:

ergonomic (to get a starter measurment, do a press up in the most comfortable position and measure how far apart your hand are)

    lighter

    less likley to snap

    can fit in narrow areas

    Con:

    not as much controle

chest is more closed, so less air (again dubious)

I have found a happy comprimise at 27.5"

  8. To go with the origional topic.

    Frame: got

    forks: Global titanium

    stem: Global titanium

    bar: Easton carbon dh

    headset: CK titanium

    front hub: CK diskotech

front rim: Sun singlewide drilled with fancy titanium holes (just kidding :( )

Spokes: titanium ones from whoever makes them

rear hub: CK classic, fun bolts, steel freehub body

    rear rim: Sun double wide

    Spokes: titanium again

cranks: middleburn with super pro bash isis

    bb: RF titanium

    pedals: Assault

front brake: Magura marta sl with +20 adaptor and hope mono6 ti 180 rotor

rear brake: Magura hs33, magura hosing, xtr booster, heatsink pads, cnc lever blade

rear tyre: Kenda Blue Groove 2.5 Stick-E

front tyre: Kenda Blue Groove 2.1 Stick-E

    cassette: Shimano Dura Ace

Mech: Sram (the nice carbon one)

    chain: Connex titanium

    shifter: old xtr

    Gear cable: Nokon

    grips: Odi lock on

that would cost a bomb, wouldnt be the best bike though

  9. I am in the middle of building a trials course, I have collected 35 pallets, a 20ft long telegraph pole and some over wooden things I found in the basement.

I am hopfully going to get lots more pallets, railway sleapers, wooden moulds, cable reels, fence posts etc etc.

I am gonna be having them in my field which is on a slope, so its gonna take ages to get it all sorted out, but then I will have uphill and downhill runups at things which is good practise.

  10. I may as well answer it:

he runs a orange stem (came off my patriot) I think it is around the 70-80mm x10 or 15 degree (stiil hasnt payed me for it :S )

    he runs roox torque bars

now get that pure frame and ride! (N)

  11. I havnt used a 521 since last year, but recently I had to use one in a comp, all I can say is, the amount of tyre fold I got was ridiculous, it made me fall off in atleast 4 sections.

I also found my bmf rim stiffer than a 521 (maybe this was down to wheel build?).

I will NEVER go back to a 521, I think they are waaaaaaaay to narrow for natural.

If you ride street then I think they will be fine, but if you do comps or natural riding, go for a wider rim.

PS good luck in finding ready built wheels, I aint seen any for a while
