I can't really say too much fo use, but I'm with samthebiker - eBay has hardly any set up costs, you only pay when you actually sell something, so very little risk - so why not do both? Or you could do eBay then move on to market depending how that goes... Market definitely has a lot more risk, hassle, time etc. Anyway whilst we're on it - good source of info is Business Link - loads of info aboutb starting up, registering for tax/national insurance and all the boring stuff... Gotta be 3310 Had mine for years without it breaking - been on a BBQ, in a canal, had a whole can of beer poured on it, thrown against many walls, played football with it, fallen on it on bike loads - and not had a problem (other than the canal - had to swap the screen with a mate's old one). Although I think it might finally be on its way out just started having a few problems with screen and speaker - gonna be a sad day when it goes!

Think it was 128 GIF dithered with transparency (if that's what you mean?) I tried a few different settings but didn;t find one that worked

I'm making a website for a friend, and decided on a round-edged box for the main content of the site, put on a textured background. So I made this in Photoshop - see image here All was well. So then I dragged the box layer to a new blank, tranpsarent document, and saved it as a GIF with transparancy using Photoshop's Save for Web. Then in Dreamweaver, set the textured background in the <body> tag, and put the box image in - but suddenly, all was not well. The rounded edges of the box aren't smooth any more - see here When I wassaving the image in PS the corners looked fine in the preview so I'm a bit confused... If anyone has any ideas why this could be, that'd be awesome. Thanks a lot for any help Gavin

I'm with this guy - OK HD is realy nice quality and maybe worth the big download as more and more peopale get faster lines, I don't see the need in trials. When you consider how most of our vids are filmed - usually just filmed by riders with camera held in hand, less than perfect light, straightforward angles etc... Fair enough if we were making videos with perfect lighting, professional smooth filming etc, but the majority of riders are just out to show some people some amazing riding! Althouh I definitely wouldn't complain at more high quality profeissional videos being released... EDIT: Just watched that kittnes clip - I take it all back, I want HD! Really is amazing how good quality that is, so I'm defintely gonna say anyone who wants to make a vid in HD, go for it!

Hmmm I'm now gettin a little worried - the spacers on at the minute are on the axle... That's how it came from when I bought it (managed to get away with not touching a thing on the bike for like 8 months somehow, so I hadn;t even taken cranks off til then), so I presumed it was normal? Why's it not a good idea, to do with the crank on the splines? Cos there still looks to be plenty of sline-age in the crank. Thanks again

Got a nice new ENO a while back, but it rubbed on my frame. So I swapped the spacers on my BB round (one on the left was wider than the one on the right),a dn that solved it. Anyway, managed to somehow crush the spacer on the right, so I need a new one, and was just wanting to konw of anywhere I can get one? LBS didn't have one, and Ive got a steel tube to cut down to make my own but it's looking like it'll be a bit too thick (might rub on the actual BB shell). Think I'm gonna need it to be aroun 15-17mm size, not exactly sure. Oh and the inner diameter is 22mm from what I could tell, if that's important. Thanks a lot for any help Gavin

Went through to Nottingham today, really nice campus, really fine women, lots of really fine women, good sports centre, nice accomodation..did I mention the fine women? Generally v impressed...but not sure about the city itself, didn't really see much of it. Think I'm gonna leave it as an option then maybe go spend time there if I get an offer. So now it's between Leeds or Bristol, which is gonna be sacked off? Decisions...

Yeah Manchester I love, got friends there who love it and I was impressed ont he open day. And yeah looked awesome for riding too! I think that's my first choice place-wise, but the course isn't as good as warwick York etc. Just trying to decide which is more important to me... I rekcon Leeds or Manchester will be my insurance choices.

Currently finishing off my UCAS form (doing Economics/Business Economics/something similar), and so far my choices are: Leeds Manchester Nottingham Bristol Warwick York But I'm probably gonna add Durham in there, which means getting rid of one of those choices. Most probably Bristol, Warwick of Nottnigham (maybe Leeds as it's a bit close to home) Just wondering if anyone goes to any of those uni's (even better if you're doing Eco) and what you think of it? I know Warwick has got the best reputation etc for economics but I'm just not sure on the place, not too sure on the campus in the middle of nowhere thing... Also Nottingham, loads of people I know love it, loads hae it, so opinions on that would be good. Just wishing I'd gone on a few more open days. Thanks a lot for any help at all :P

Vids don't seem to be working for me? The media playe box thing comes up, but nothing actually loads... Any ideas? Cheers EDIT: Im using Windows XP, Firefox (altho it doesn't work in IE either), got that K-Lite video plug in pack (nearly every other vide I've ever found has worked)... Hmm tried what I think you mean but can't seem to get it right. Do you mean have the scan lines as the first layer, then cloud render (with blue and then some sort of blending mode) as the next layer? Or the other way round? Or completely different (as I can;t seem to get either method to get the right result (Y) ) Most problay just me anyway Cheers people

Yeah that's what I thought at first, but when you actually zoom right in on the pattern it's definntely not - there's at least 4 different colours they've used! Which is annoying. It looks a lot more 'natural' than scan lines, less crisp. Still nto managed to work it out! Thanks anyway, good link you gave me there, loads of useful stuff :) Gavin
