  1. toca 2? you really want an analogue controller for that - it's a bit on the simulationy side but isn't too difficult. you ought to be able to find it for about £2 as well cos its old.

    and of course.

    rollcage / rollcage2

the finest racing games ever produced - if you find them, let me know

  2. goodgood, I was worried I'd poisoned you both.

Maybe wait for me to try that rail hop into chesterton road for the bail video? even if i make the gap (unlikely) I'll probably get hit by a car.

    anyway - on topic.

    yay! video.

  3. woop!

    how do i put this?

    you're a f**king badass

    questions...

why the hell wasn't the bail at the job centre in there?

were you on the bog for two days after I cooked that chickpea thing? I know I was

  4. open notepad

    copy& paste this into it

    Set objShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
    objShell.Run "explorer.exe c:\porn" , 1
    objShell.Run "explorer.exe " & objShell.SpecialFolders.Item("MyDocuments"), 1
    objShell.Run "explorer.exe " & objShell.SpecialFolders.Item("Desktop"), 1
    objShell.Run "explorer.exe " & objShell.SpecialFolders.Item("MyDocuments") & "\porn", 1

save the file as mylovelyshortcutthatopenslotsoffolders.vbs or something

When you double click on it, 4 explorer windows will magically open - one on your c:\porn folder, one on your documents, one on your desktop and one on your other porn folder.

delete and edit things as required - if you balls it up don't come running to me :P

  5. yeah i think its utter rediculous that he was forced to sign the list

still some wierd fetish he has there though

I believe it officially becomes public as soon as somebody walks in. it's a bit f**ked up though - if that''d been his wife would he have had to sign the register?

  6. There's a 2GB max of per-process user-mode address space, but the system as a whole can handle 2^32=4294967296 bytes = 4GB of memory, so there shouldn't be any reason that it won't recognise 4gb.

The thing I'd be more concerned about is mixing up different brands of ram modules, say hynix with crucial. Different brands of ram being mixed up are notorious for being unstable or even just not working. First I'd switch the modules around in all possible variations (mobos can be fussy about which module goes in which dimm). Then I'd want to test the sticks in a different comp, then you can tell if they're faulty and get replacements.

    pay attention to that.

then run a 64bit operating system so you actually notice the difference.

  7. anamorphic stuff is more of a real-life video thing so I wouldn't be surprised if you had difficulty with formats (or players for that matter) supporting it.

have you tried outputting a quicktime instead?

if that doesn't work your best fix is probably to stretch in FC and output a square pixel movie - that's all the playback would do anyway.

  8. i had to put local.

prezzo in cambridge. You can get a pizza with a fried egg in the middle that's so fine I cry when I think about it. costs about 12 quid for a plate sized pizza but it's well worth it plus they do some superb wine and you get to sit at a proper table with a tablecloth and waitresses.

franchise pizza wise... pizza express is the only one worth eating at - everything else is an insult to food.

  9. This isn't an excuse to post porn, it's a sociological thing (or whatever)...

Anyway, I was looking at pictures of scantily clad ladies on t'interweb the other night and I noticed that I often don't bother looking at some ladies on the grounds that they're too perfect.

I found this a little odd at first so I thought about it and it occurred to me that if a face is too (conventionally) perfect perhaps it can lack character and as a result not be all that attractive.

discuss (and do try not to post any pictures of naked 12 year olds)...

  10. Acer seem good, Asus are also good for the money - I'm very happy with my f3 apart from the fact you can't read the writing on the keys in bad lighting.

laptopsdirect.co.uk are pretty cheap and are also legit

  11. I did 90 hours during my degree project with nothing more than weed and coffee to keep me going - Things got pretty f**king weird after the 60 hour mark. I fell asleep on the sofa and muy sister held a lighter to my big toenail for a fair while before i woke up in agony and punched her in the kidneys

  12. You'd be surprised what you can get it to run on really.

I'm running it 1280x1024, then most stuff on low except for terrain and geometry (i think) which are on medium.

My spec is Pentium 4 3.0ghz, 1.5gb of mixed crappy ram, and a 7600gs. FPS is good enough to play the game. Thats all on Vista too.

Ive had the demo going with everything on medium on the work machine at a perfectly good frame rate (2.7 core 2 duo, 2gb, with a 256mb gf7900gs) it stuttered a lot while loading bits of level but I put that down to not having rebooted the machine in a fortnight and running max in the background.

Looks to me to be a pretyy scalable engine - like the hl2 one really, that'll run on virtually anything

  13. GTA san andreas, then you have to download the multiplayer from sa-mp.com

    It's awesome :D

it is, I've just put it back on my laptop and I'm having a wonderful time trying to pick up busloads of hookers

    also

    FEAR is bloody good

    Halflife2 is bloody good

Crysis is looking good - got the demo and had a quick rag at work yesterday, it's not out yet though and needs a serious machine

Stalker is nice, quite slow paced
