  1. Absolutely Apparently grunting has been proven to increase throwing distance by 6% in javelin throwers - I think it was to do with the sudden exhalation of air... interesting. Back on topic... I think of about... I dunno really. Just being focused I think!
  2. I think it's more likely: 1. The booster dampens the sound 2. The pads need to bed in again before they will work 100%

All except XTR are virtually the same (XTR have Ti rods = flex = not good for clamping force).

Steel rod Shimano QR > any of those types of allen key skewers.
  5. Cool, good idea There we go! Cheers Ads
  6. Another pimp Inspired full build... slightly different spec with a few pimp new bits on it Cheers Ads
  7. The hubs do need to bed in from new so a few skips are normal. If it's skipping a lot under power then it's best to just ride around only putting light pressure on the pedals while everything beds in. If it's still giving you trouble after a few days then just give us a call The driver is supposed to come off easily for servicing, yes
  8. That was our thinking too, same forks and headset for all frames means you can compare the geo of each frame, rather than having more than one variable
  9. Hehe, yeah I heard about that too, just bought a copy! 8 out of 41, not bad
  10. That's what I reeaalllyy wanted for some of the pics, but I haven't got a setup that would allow me to do it in the light (and didn't have the flash with me)... Cheers! Thank you Tomm... I didn't actually try wit hthat first pic but it's pretty 'flat' and I think I brightened it a touch already... might have a play later
  11. Additional prize now added (pic soon): 60cm x 60cm KOXX banner signed by Vincent while he was over here

  13. It's very rare for the manufacturer's stated geo to be right...
  14. Thanks man... I really like that effect, plucks the rider out of the background really nicely I think, if there's too much in focus I reckon it can take away from the subject... Stan's running a Trialtech stem: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=10429 Cheers Adam Hmm, no it's not that posh... It's the EF F4.5-5.6 MKII. Not really used it that much to be honest :$

    Headsets?

Should be ok with regular greasing... Janson's had one for a looonngg time. It's the same headset that comes in the Koxx bikes, they haven't had a problem in 7 years!!

Unfortunately not... as Ali said, you need the two 5mm allen key fittings to get the hub apart and there's not enough meat in the axle to allow you to tap a thread in.
  23. No... cos the mount is what causes the stress riser. If you have a disc and 4-bolt fork and run it with a disc on, they more often break at the brake mount than the disc tab.
  24. Nice Tim... I've got about 340 to sort through!
  25. The plan is docks then into town if we have time Phil knows all the spots so we're relying on him as a guide
