I've put it on my Calendar
You Sir, are not funny. I no longer consider you a friend.
He says, with his Newbee status?
It was just a joke. I apologise. Can we bee friends again?
Oh, and can you change the spell checker to UK English for your own profile? 'Apologise' is spell checked as 'apologize'. Bloody Yanks...

You have alot of scence matey
very very true
im quite new to trials and when i go off big drobs it get my addrenalin pumping
for other things like gaps and side hoping up high walls
its a great buzz you get from huge drops
well when i say huge i dont get silly lol
just go easy though, and keep a check on your kit. you'll see the problem with BIG drops when you start breaking wheels, frames, handlebars, and limbs. until then, have fun. but when you're doing something massive, just weigh up the pro's and cons. it ain't such a big issue for you younger guys (unless you break your neck or die or something). but some older members don't respect big drops as much, because if it went wrong for them, they'd be missing work or uni, sometimes for weeks or months.
i buggered my ankle about 2 years ago now, and had to go to all my first year uni exams on crutches. which REALLY sucked. and i had to stand behind the counter at work, where i could earn no commission, on one leg, totally crucifying my hip! just because a pedal snapped doing a 7ish foot drop. completely pointless waste of 6months of my life. i wouldn't go off anything higher than 6ft anymore, unless it was a technical line (gap to rail or something), and i haven't ridden a trials bike since that incident

they either live forever, or you shatter the ratchet ring every 3 rides. that seems to be the trend with users i know.
i always ran xc/sport/mono. fewer engagements, fatter teeth, stronger ring (its always best to have a strong ring). only ever had one ratchet ring go on me, and that was just two sheared teeth, after nearly 2 years of trials use. (never serviced :$ )

haha! Doubt it - Stock from the beginning to the end!
We should all ride stock!
started on mods (MODified BMXes)
stocks were originally STOCK mountain bikes.
and now both have evolved into pure trials bikes of different wheelsizes. i think we should all ditch them and get 15inch mtb frames, llike back in the day. that'll sort the men from the boys

i thought about it! and looking at it now, i think white cranks may have looked a bit gash/OTT on the white scheme

think i posted at 5.30am or something once. hadn't slept all night, and wasn't in the slightest bit tired. so went out on the trials bike for a couple of hours! came in about 7.45am, and my mum was like 'what the... where you been!?' was cool though. no cars, no people, no police (riding on the pavements. woah, go me!)

just watched the intro vid, and to this day, have no idea why the bit about the bird and the spider is in there. totally random. awesome program though. wasn't there one where birds kept crapping on em or something, and everyone got buried in bird sh!t?
on topic: turned the shower off to shout downstairs once, and turned it on still stood under it. water was ridiculously hot when it came back on, and burnt my neck. was sore for a good few days after

The infamous thread (to me)
and his last appearance by the looks of things
-
A row, how original.
The only thing that always makes me wonder is why people do drops in trials. They require no skill and only damage the bike.
And doing it 7 times? That must have been really tedious.
its how most people start doing 'big' stuff though, to be fair
before i could gap properly, or go up stuff properly, i used to ride off stuff! equally impressive to people not in the know.
and there's no point kicking off the 'drops are pointless' argument. i loved doing them as a young rider, until my bike and body was breaking every week. and everyone else who likes drops will learn the same way. just let them enjoy what they want to do (as long as they aren't hurting others)
still wanna see this 10ft drop

i did wonder....
i landed about 30deg from flat off an 8 ft drop, and totally destroyed a front wheel. very impressed if you landed 10ft flat without breaking your wrists!
sounds like the trials-forum tape measure has been doing the rounds again

think the DK won out as the best there, but i think the budget wasn't as high as this. the Charge do seem like awesome frames. compare the specs though
