  1. My girlfriend got hers done when she was 16, that was fully legal as far as im aware. Shes very against breaking almost any set laws so doubt she would have done it illegally... she got it done at a place in Basingstoke which did it really well and professionally, if you want the name I can find out Nick
  2. Indeed, the Mac version of Gaim (AdiumX) is awesome  Its great being able to rename contacts so they dont have all their stupid names! 'emo.x.core.iwanttokillmyself.now.core.x.x.x.suicide.takingbacksunday.x' to "Ella"
  3. haha that legendary Plaz rim! It went from Deano on section7... to Jon Mackinnon. To Dean Walker in frimley. Then erm... Deano sold it somewhere. It was an Alex DX32 black rim. It worked amazingly, like a permanent super harsh grind - but kinda like sandpaper effect on the edge rather than lines. This made it eat pads faster than any grind ive ever seen - Magura blacks in erm 4 days, and thats 4 short rides. Maybe 12hours out of a set of pads  It went through a set of Plaz pads quick too, and a set of xlite longs. Good idea, just not that practical.
  4. For pre built computer Mesh ones seem to be the daddy. We got a Mesh Athlon XP2400+ a few years ago and it has been really reliable. The CD burner... erm... burned out. They replaced it within 3 days with one of those indians that comes out to your house and does it. Its been tops
  5. The new official MSN client for Mac is out soon and is rumoured to have the enhancements you talk about included in it
  6. If your computer is crap enough to be using SDRAM then you would be better off at looking for a cheap motherboard, processor, ram upgrade really. Upgrading your SDRAM isnt going to bring many huge benefits for a low grade system for the money put in - what spec is your computer?
  7. Thats only if you leave it as bog standard - if you set it at a static size on your first boot of windows, it wont fragment up like mad as it only uses the same set size paging area. Defragmenting is a good idea to do say, once a month, leave it on overnight when you arent going to be using it sometime :)
  8. I got it second hand - the Mac Mini itself was £350 with the 1gb ram, tiger, etc. Note that a 1.42ghz powerPC is COMPLETELY different to the athlon/pentium naming convention. I cant remember the exact figures, but you understand the clock cycle/instruction per cycle thing, which is why intel has a higher ghz rating, but athlons get more work done per cycle... well athlons do something like 6 instructions per cycle, whereas powerPC does 19 per cycle! Real world experience...? The Mac Mini runs for me at about the same speed as my Pentium4 3.0 Shuttle. Its at least 1/3 of the size. Its very stable. I thought my shuttle was stable but this thing never has ANY errors or crashes at all! The software is the main bonus though with OSX blowing Windows into the dust with file management, ease of use etc. I know its hardly difficult to install stuff in Windows, but in OSX on the whole you just drag the program into the 'applications' folder and its installed! :( Simple pimple! The UI in general is a lot cleaner, neater, more exciting. It all makes sense. Photoshop is much the same as Windows but I find it looks/behaves better, and renders slightly faster. Rendering in 'Final Cut Pro HD' which is essentially a more advanced version of Premiere, is faster than in Windows as well. I have Microsoft Office X which deals with any college stuff. Again, the Office X for Mac has more features and is generally an improvement on the Windows one too - very strange! :) The built in internet browser, Safari works much like Firefox but better integrated with the Apple iLife suite of applications whereas on Windows Firefox still feels very standalone from the actual UI. I have no need to worry about virus or spyware threats as it simply doesnt effect OSX - as all of the bugs are written for Windows! And the BSD core is more secure than Windows in the first place. Apple seem very keen to keep their software up to date and protected, bugs fixed etc, with its second 'service pack' out sometime this week. Thats quick compared to Microsoft. Its not like ive come across loads of bugs at the moment anyway though, before people say that it needs more fixing than Windows does hence quicker releases, that just isnt the case. I adore it. Ben.
  9. Once they pay the invoice, the money is paid into your paypal account. It is sitting there as paypal money. You then transfer that money into your actual bank account which generally takes around 5 working days. As soon as it is in your paypal account you have the money - you can post the item in full security that the money is yours.
  10. Interesting this is... ebay just deleted a good 15 or so auctions, some of which ending in the next 45mins.
  11. Ok, seeing I cant get any info about that PC on the net... does it have this connector on the back of the PC?
  12. Sold it... had no need for the games on it. Mac does everything it did, and better, so I switched, plus at the arts college im going to macs are the preferred system to use so I thought id get a head start and learn it before it gets forced on me! Im glad I switched :)
  13. Gotta say that its a bit tough to say whether its compatible or not considering you havent said what computer you have...
  14. I didnt see a price on that page, but check out www.rgbdirect.co.uk for some bargains on cameras, amazing online shop. I bought a sony hc18 from there about a year ago, came very quickly. Great camera. cheap from there too at £330 at the time. I think its replacement is the hc19 or hc20, I would recommend either of them!
  15. They're still open, phone them!
  16. The paint on them is terrible, apart from that I guess they're ok. Strange geometry where it feels really long on the ground, but short on the backwheel. Some people enjoy it I suppose!
  17. What file are you trying to play? Im sure I must be missing something...
  18. Apple Mac Mini. 19. You need to download stuffit expander so you can use the file, google for it :(
  20. Superglue works fine, just put an allen key in, loads of glue, let it dry overnight then turn the bolt out in the morning :( Does the job fine. Thanks. Tim Henman.
  21. When I was grinding my BMF aaaages ago I used a metal grinding disc and that went really well. Thanks, Muhammad Ali.
  22. I absolutely adore my Mac Mini. Im running osx 10.4.1 tiger. Go on the apple top left corner, software update, and get it all up to date. Programs I use for video and audio heaven are... VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Thats awesome for playing anything you cant run in quicktime. Windows Media Player: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...d/download.aspx Assuming youre going to that page on your mac it will let you download Windows media player 9 for mac. Its ok enough for playing WMV but I wouldnt bother using it for anything else. iTunes Im assuming you have this - its great for playing and organising your music. If youve got any tracks that it wont play then get Flacer http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo...9903&vid=119813 This program does drag and drop conversion from .flac to other formats useable in itunes easyWMA http://www.carrafix.com/EasyWMA/ This similarly converts WMA to other formats. With this set of programs you should have no problems playing anything. If you havent got a quicktime 7 pro serial number, PM me :(
  23. SamSouthtrials, have you ever used a Mac?
  24. Yeah, my original post on here was referring to you slating the fact the guy was making a site rather than riding 24/7 - not that the site itself shouldnt be slated. It does need slating, very much so (N)
  25. Pardon, ive missed what you are trying to diss me about matey. (N) I actually dont know what youre talking about. You reckon you had some shit from me on msn for a month... then you dumped me? Whats the 'n e-mails' thing about as it doesnt seem to fit the rest of the sentance :|
