I'll assume you haven't seen the Starlet GT Turbo's then.. the little grandad versions look wank, but the jap pocket rockets are much nicer :( And I wasn't just comparing his car, look at my other comparison... I'm sure they have improved recently but so far I havn't found one joe average could afford. I earn 12k, and in my price range there is nothing. If I was to pay 20,000 then maybe yeah, but the Starlet was 3,800. See my point?

I meant it's kind of relative, another friend has a 1.4 corsa that is faster than his dads 1.9 Ren. 19 diesel... In my experience they are awful, they smell worse, the are loud (Not a nice loud though), and slower.

I have to be careful as a first car, I looked at the G40 but even at 21 most wouldn't insure me. You are correct a about the BBS wheels, except the ones i'm putting on are limited edition black spoked silver deep dish BBS ones.. They are super sexy. Wheels are from MK2 golf, for MK3 Polo... Around the same time they are so I guessed they would fit. Thanks for the info so far mate

I don't think diesels are better at all. Not for me anyway. They sound like shit, and comparatively are slow. For example, my friends 1.3 Starlet Turbo easily beats 2.0 Diesel turbo cars... Hi to everyone that helped me decide on the Polo. I'm currently trying to get one, it's £600 H Reg... Quite nice. Anyway, what I want to know: How Many Valves? (8 or 16?) Horsepower? (Is it over 80 brake?) 0-60 Times? (Under 10 secs?) Would Golf BBS Alloys fit? (They are 15's but I don't know the number of bolts on a Polo, the wheels have 4, would they fit?) Any help would be great...
