Ive never used the tool and ive serviced both my kings loads of times and never had them skip on me. just take out the axel and then from the none drive side stick an allen key in and hit the spring catch plate untill it all falls out pretty much, stretch the spring abit and put it all back together, ive never used grease or oil or whatever and never had one die on me, mines always been pretty loud aswell.
