Depends what type of project car you mean, whether modern car to pimp or an oldie classic, I would definetly recommend it if its an oldie and you have the time and money, Its quite a steep learning curve compared to modern day cars, I'm looking at my caddy and thinking the only thing I reckonise is the coil ignition system. A year and half on now since I started the jowett, and its all just about mechanically sound, its just the paint to finish now and the interior once I get it on the road which hopefully will be soon.

Want it more for its work horse capabilities rather than its speed, not really bothered about speed as long as it does all the speed limits that are on the road today I dont mind.

The caddy 800, and its a 1.6, the insurance is going to sting me (well mother until I start paying her back) Its 1200 either on her insurance on on my own so it makes no difference really. 800 a pretty good price considering they are going on ebay and places for like well over a grand.

Looks like I am going to get the caddy now, just went up the local bike shop and aparently there are quite a few options open to strap a bike down in a pick up so would be awsome for a carrying bikes in and other bits and bob for like the jowett. I'll post some pictures up in the vw topic soon....

Im not sure on what car/van to get as a first car, ideally id like to get vw caddy pick up, because theyd be good for hauling bikes and car bits around, just general runaround. Bad side is only 2 seats Or just a normal car really I dunno maybe a vw again of some sort but not an estate as I just dont like them. What do you lot reckon?

It depends where I get them from really, what make, and whether road or race tyres ha ha. Doubtful race tyres 19x450 is the size.

Classic car tyres woo lol the jowetts in need of some new shoes because her sidewalls are starting to crack but barely noticable, 10years plus aint bad for a tyre, though 9 of those years were in the air on blocks

Ok that really does suck, well sounds like I gotta change mine then as tread is fine but tonnes of cracks in sidewalls, and its like gunna dent my wallet, 100quid per tyre ouchy, 19inch wheels, probaly get some dunlops or firestones

No some old people are legends, what if you become old would you like to be culled? Iknow loads of old people who can handle both modern and old cars sensisible, well 100 round a dual carrigeway round about is kinda sensible.....
