  1. Is this still going on? Is this just daily rides or evenings or both? You can probably count me in for some of local spots around me somerset/devon/cornwall area?
  2. Swollen thigh stupid BMXs and quarter pipes

  3. Well, I was trawling through ebay last night looking for an eno to replace mine, when it finally kicks the bucket. And I came across them being shipped over from the US. Has anyone had any dealings with them? If they were the right gearing I think it would be perfect for streety kind of riding for where you wanted a bit more speed, and then switch in a pinch for more traditional trials riding with a tensioner which would take up the small amount of slack when switched from one and other.
  4. I do see the reasoning behind it, just worried if I don't like it i'd be stuck with a bike I can't ride where as if Id built the 24 and liked it would all be food. And old skool I've never really explored but now you mention it I'm going to look into it. It would be really a toss up between a zoot, zebadi or maybe an effect I want to keep the budget fairly tight!
  5. I've been riding on and off for about four years, in recent years got more into riding trials, and have had been riding an ashton justice, which I then upgraded to an Ozony XR26. Now recently I've found myself riding more park and street obstacles. The Ozony is a pretty long frame and I'm 6ftish, I'm thinking that as I've been riding more park, I'd like to keep the trialsy feel to the bike, but am looking for something a little more street biased than the Ozony, which isn't that great for park riding, I'm looking at maybe going 24inch, after riding a few of my mates bikes(mainly NS) more street orientated, which I like the feel of but I dont want to lose the trials feel, I'd like to keep the trials spec on a bike. So I'm wondering/looking into a 24inch trials bike, but I'm thinking do I sell my 26inch completely or do I get rid of to accommodate for the 24inch, because I don't see the point in having both if I can use one or either for the same riding duties. Any suggestions as what to do in the situation, I liked the look of the new zoot, but unsure to get a frame set or the full build. Because I like my spec just finding the frame not too good at what I want it to do Have been reading some of the reviews on here and they look pretty sweet to hop about on. Decisions Decisions
  6. I'm using a bolt through axle, the 5mm allen key ones. I do them up until I pretty much hang off them but does not make much difference.
  7. I've been riding this frame on and off for about a year now, and keep having a reoccurring problem, the rear wheel slips out the drop out. I'm running an echo fixed hub on the rear, and am just wondering anyone who has used this frame had any similar trouble. Or is it just me. It seems to happen either when I make a failed attempt at getting up something or randomly when it feels like it. Any answers to my query?
  8. If the 5 year re test was introduced then I think I'd be screwed, A modern car I'd be lost with all the controls and handling totally different. but on the safe subject, I think I'm actually safer in my car than a modern, because everything is worse and less responsive which makes you have to think upon whats ahead and what Ive gotta to to be able to control the car before I get to whats ahead. My top speed being about 40ish I'm also worried about faster cars and idiots in faster cars. I dont mind if they over take me just dont kill me in the process, if they wana kill themselves then i say thats your own risk. For example the other day I was doing about 45ish and this idiot from behind was virtually up ass any closer and he would have knocked me. The he over took me like almost pushing me off the road. Its like if you want to pass me then do safely. Or just slow down.
  9. Engine: Petrol Size: 907cc 2 Horizontally Opposed Cylinders Model: Jowett Long Saloon Driving Conditions: Town/Lanes Combined MPG: 30Mpg Rated MPG (manufacture) : 40mpg Comments: Its 74 years old, 6 gallon tank, cam driven pump with hand primer. Most people with better running engines than mine get about 35-38 mpg, But I drive pretty hard, plus still lots of crap in my tank.
  10. I remeber christmas with Captain planet, Oh yeah Im cool, oh and watching Knight Rider, which I still do. Oooo and Power Rangers lol I'm such a cool kid
  11. This just makes me think what have got to look forward too in the future, by the looks of this and world events not a fat lot. But I suppose, although I'm highly against it, the evolution from petrol to electrics cars I suppose is the modern day equivlent of back in the 1900, when the motor car was replacing the horse drawn carriage, after all thats what motor cars were orginially designed for just short journeys, and more efficent than the horse. I bet back then there were also people who were against the change. For the same reasons we speak of now. But when this does change I'm sure there will be people who want to keep the petrol car alive, so will undoubtedly live on, like you see now, restorations of older cars and horse drawn carriages.

    Workshops

Right Me and Broomer are researching about workshops, I know know quite a few of you who work on cars have workshops/garage places. How would one go about getting one or buildings for that kind of use. How did some of you go about it?
  17. When the oil does run out, its not just a question or petrol and diesel what about oil lubricants for the car to run without seizing.
  18. Wind power, no one really wants them on their land right? So what if you put them next to a motor way? Like so all the wind created by the rushing traffic could help to power them? Or is this a tottally stupid idea? I think the latter
  19. I spent a year after I left school part time working in an engineering place which makes the machines to make cigarettes, how i didnt start smoking i dont know, but the pay was good. Lousy hours though.
  20. My footman and James quote was, 650.40p,I'm 18, had my license for just over 6 months, but I was with a club, it was with fully comp and breakdown cover and stuff, on my 1934 Jowett, limited milage though but since my speedo was last reading. It says 00003 and the speedo cable is broken/ on order I cant really keep track of that. but on a rough guess in 4 months ive done about 600miles.
  21. Have you tried Footman and james for a quote? Although their policy states only 25 and over, I'm 18 and have insurance with them for mine. another way of lowering your insurance would be to join a club. In some cases it can lower your insurance quote
  22. If they really want everyone to use the reusable bags then why ban the making of bags wouldnt that stop anymore from being made, then once there gone their gone. But then wouldn't that put people out of business? Impacting somewhere else in the business community .
  23. Why keep it rolling back? Cause eventually your going to end up with a classic ford focus kinda cars and pug 106 which really arnt classics and the technology is samey, but thats just my opnion
