I want to do my test in my golf rather than my instructors c2 but havnt the rules chaged so that you have to use a instructors car with the pedals on both sides for amergency stops?

Firstly, the theory is nothing at all to worry about. I only did mine about 3 weeks ago. I started panicing the night before when i found out i picked up the wrong cd from halfords. I just got myself logged onto a website and did about 150 questions that night and to be honest thats all the revision i did although i wish i started a hell of a long time earlier. I ended up getting 32 on the theory which isnt the best but for the amount of revision i did i was chuffed so you will be fine with that!! The Hazard Perception is a bit different because i dont know about you but i had never tried it before but when you get it there the weird woman on the computer tells you all about it and its alot easier than the theory. Think i got 59. As for the reversing etc like robin said above tilting your mirror down does help and i find if you do that but instead of looking at your mirrors alot, try and look out the back window alot more and use that mirror as a guide to make sure you arnt to close or to far away. Im only learning like yourself but i find that looking out of the back window helps me alot more. Iv only been practising this because i have my own car so when i go out with my dad or my mate i dont have the little marks around the car so i have to do it but now i dont even use the mirrir and find it alot easier. You will have plenty of time to get the reversing dialed though so dont worry about that. You will deffinatly breeze through the theory though. Hope that helps. Brett

They are deffinatly not tt comps. TT comps look like this and in the other picture they look atleast 18's Anymore ideas people?

Iv looked at loads and loads of audi/vw alloys and cant seem to find them. They look a bit like audi tt competition alloys but these are only 17's. The ones in the picture are deffinatly not 17's. Any more suggestions?

Lately iv just bought myself a mk4 golf for my first car and im looking to get some alloys and coilovers for it. Iv got a picture here of some alloys that look good and may want to purchase but they are on a car as you can see and a cant for shit find out what they are. Anyone know? Brett.

I use a hifi low stem (115/10 i think, not sure.) someone from tarty can clarify that if im wrong. I use it with about 8mm stackers on depending on what forks im using and feels as good as i think it will get. The low koxx one i think will feel good too. Hope that helps. Brett.

Was a great day today. Good old addingham. HUUGGGEE Thankyou to Wayne for letting me share his bike for 14 of the 20 sections. Got everything sorted on my bike this morning thinking everything was great and then the hub decided to die half way round a section Gutted. I dont think people realise how much Wayne helps in the sport. We need more people like him!!!! Anyway thanks to all of the observers and all of the section setters. And everyone else. Going up to the orkney islands on wednesday to do some driving and stuff for a stunt show then heading over to the top of orkney island on the thursday then doing a trials demo for Ian Drummands TAWT team friday, then doing something random during saturday and back for about 3 oclock sunday morning. Funny enough this happened to me on sunday at the brimham trial. I have had loads of tyres that have been put through some abuse, so that the threads etc are all coming away at the side and using them until there is no tread left at all. I normally just use these tyres for street as i dont need the grip and find they they are spot on until i really really need a new one. I have two sets of wheels, street and comp, and i always have near enough a brand new tyre on my comp wheel. I had one on the other day that was maybe 3-4 comps old and that day it started popping off:S Did not have a clue what was going on, but i got half way round a section and the thing popped off so i kept on riding to get through the section and found at the end that the tyre had ripped from the pistons hitting at and all of the beads came out. Still after that had know idea what had happened but i guess what your saying makes alot of sence. Maybe one beads had just stretched or one even snapped. Anyway, resulted in a new tyre. Nothing i could do about it. Kind of a pointless story but though i would share my dissapointment Brett

Il be there Got a couple of questions though. Do you have to be seeded to ride elite 26"? Also, does the nationals work like the tykes? Do they take your lowest score from the year off at the end of the year? Like you can miss an event but it wont effect your overall result? Brett...

Alryt mate, there is a fair few of us around newcastle but not alot of them have access to trials-forum. We all tend to ride places like durham, northallerton, stockton, darlington and sometimes newcastle. On a good day there can be anywhere up to about 20 of us. Normaly settle for about 12 or so. Il spread the word to get a ride up there asap Brett....

To start off it was a very good trial indeed, i seemed to be doing quite well but then the heavens opened and it just turned to hell! Although it was quite fun for a while i ended up just asking for 5's on every section as my back brake died and probably would have killed me if i carried on. Think i disc mount is going to be welded on the zhi very soon . Well done to people who stuck it out and give it there best and a big thankyou to everyone who made the day happen. Brett....
