  4. running a 2.3 on the back at the moment, theres a little room left so it might do
  5. yeah the high rollers do look rather good, just wondering if they would fit my saracen though
  6. i wasnt really asking what tyres i should get, i was more asking what tyres everyone else uses, if i did find an old one, people views on tyres might have changed or whatever, i personally like the look of a nokian gazzalodi for the back(2.3) and a continental explore for the front (2.1)
  7. damn good choice dude!! vee's all the way!
  8. Tyre question!! hehehe.... yeah anyway tyres for stock bikes, would do you guys use?? what would you reccomend and what would you advise to keep clear of because im after a new set and just stuck for choice. let me know what you think, cheers! jake
  9. yeah we (street furniture trials) are from folkestone in kent. i'll add u up, always good to have more people to ride with, where abouts you from dude?
  10. if u can afford 300+ for a king then get one of those otherwise, hope all the way
  11. im glad there are still people out there that think the same kinda way as me, but then i can also see other people's point of views on the seatless stocks but for i definately like having a seat, makes my bike look proper, and i don't find my seat ristricting in any way so i will be sticking with it, just can't wait till i snap my saracen so i can get me a nice leeson frame now thats what you call a decent frame!
  12. perhaps its just me then really, i mean im all for evolution but i know if i wanna travel anywhere when moving to the nect spot i wanna be able to sit down and cruise my way down in (kindof) comfort, plus if u ever did come off your bike and land on your nads, i know i'd rather slap 'em on a softish seat than a solid steel/alu frame. also i quite like the look stock bikes with seats because it actually looks like a bike you could ride about normally. i suppose i'll just have to live with it
  13. hello all, since i've recently got myself back into trials, one thing has come to my attention.... all this obsessiveness about echo, zoo! gu, adamant etc etc, and all the stock bikes i've seen all look like mods!!! and they have no seat!! whats all that about??? surely isnt it mountain bike trials?? i thought the whole idea of havin a stok is that its got a seat and is actually ridable when not trialling about. i remember back in the day when people use to modify an old low mountain bike with trials bits on it. perhaps im just abit too old skool for all these new companies coming out. i wonder if theres anyone out there that think the same or similar way to me??? any thoughts orcomplaints write back, i wanna know what peoples opinions are cheers!! jake
  14. i'd say heatsinks pads, very good to buy 'em just click here
  15. tar can be quite handy but i rarely use it, just becoz i know that i can achieve good braking without it. just get urself a decent rim and a dcent set of brakes, at the moment for the back brake im running an avid single digit 7 with a carbon brake booster, heatsink pads and a oddessy linear slick cable... uber amounts of power, very impressed.
  16. yo yo dude, welcome aboard the trials train have a laugh and ride hard!!
  17. the new kona project two's. only 50quid i think and they do the job nicely, and a plus that they're actually lighter than onza forks
  18. i got one for xmas and i have to say that i've not had a single problem with mine mainly because i built it myself hehe, only bad thing about the bike are the brakes which i've already upgraded and the headset which i f**ked doin sum gnarly shit, but otherwise its a solid bike
  19. about 5 minute ride anywhere from my house is a good spot to ride
  20. tensile all the way, dont be a fag like the rest of 'em
  21. spending money on my bike lol leaves me skint every month
  22. im guessing they'd be rather good, but i'd prefer to go for goodridge
  23. yeah i'd go for the tensile cranks, im hoping to get a set soon, plus you'll stand out abit from the echo and zoo! fags hehehe
  24. yeah i've heard that they're coming out hopefully at the end of the month and im so definately getting one because i've used hope before and never had a single problem with 'em. hopefully i'll get it built up on a nice rhino lite rim
