  1. I'm 6'4 and have gone from a 06 pure to a t-rex for the length. The pure's have a really slack head angle so they ride really short for there size so probably not for you. Equally the higher bb, the shorter the reach and you'll get back strain. If i had money to burn i'd probably get a simtra as they have a long reach, reasonable bb rise and fairly indestructible. Have a look at my similar topic http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....p;#entry1379239
  2. Nice photos. Nit picking a little but they look a little overprossed. Too much sharpening maybe?

    Pinches?

Its a variable of lots of things i.e. rim, tyre, pressure, tube etc. Personally i use a dx32 and 2.35 dual ply maxxis minion with standard inner tube on the rear. As hard as i've tried to pinch it, i can't! Even with low pressures, my lardy arse and dodgy bunnyhops. Not had one pinch puncture or puncture since i've had this combo which is now over a year. Perhaps people should state rim tyre-tube-combinations and they're experiences e.g. No of pinch punctures in the last year?
  4. Looks awesome. Can't wait to get a shot. You got some forks sorted yet?
  5. Nice one Jambo. Definitely your best vid yet. Keep them coming.
  6. Get a bmx hub and a freewheel and keep your cranks. Tensile or Eno perhaps.

    Earthed 5

In most earthed films i can remember there has been some trials or an akrigg section. I realise there is no trials in the trailer. Does it Jonny state that there is no trials in the full DVD? Hopefully there will be an akrigg section again. Anyone know any better?

    Earthed 5

Is there any trials in it at all this time?
  9. Only problem with that is I have a 18T Freewheel on the rear so i'd then have to buy a 16T freewheel.
  10. Just got a Onza T-Rex and in the process of fitting the cranks. I'm using a square taper BB 128mm Axel and middleburns with a 22T chainring. The problem is there is no way the chainring can clear the chainstay! I don't believe a longer BB is availible in square taper. Is this setup impossible? Any options short of getting the super pro/heatsink bash?

  17. There are plenty of riders in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. I haven't heard of any from argyll. You could try on the scottish trials website http://www.nbtc-scotland.com/
  18. yeah bb to ht is useful but is somewhat confusing when according to the tarty website a base is 27inch and the limey is 27.25 i've ridden a base and its certainly not comfortable. also this years pure and czar has identical geometry yet different reach. was hoping to hear from people who had used these frames.
  19. Limeys are only 1085 New Coustelliers are high BB Czar and MBK are both medium ish BB. Definitely not low. Have ridden the czar briefly and was not a big fan. Any other suggestions? I've seen everything on tarty, select etc. was hoping for something different.
  20. Finding frames which i'm comfortable on is difficult being 6'4. I get by on a 1075 Pure but am tempted to try something even longer. High BB frames make the cockpit shorter so am guessing a low BB bike around 1100 might fit nicely. Problem is there is not many around. Suggestions? Any experience from other tall riders appreciated.
  21. Don't buy a shimano hub! I'm sure plenty of people will testify how long the bearings last. If you buy one be prepared to inspect the ball bearings and cones regularly. They are definitely not built for trials.
  22. Cheers Ross. Turned out ok in the end. Cameras not liking the shitty autumn light though. Going to have to guy a big flash gun for the winter. Will need to get an Aberdeen ride sorted soon too.
