  1. i used to swear by the old raceface square taper bottom brackets and also have had lot of use out of a hope one so i woould suggest spending some money and getting one of these if money is an issue the good old soid axle un52 is always a good cheap alternative

  3. this is all well and good but for us dislexic people we find it hard to do this. my dislexia is not with spelling but with sentence order and punctuation i am 21 and failed my gcse english language because of my punctuation but i passed my gcse english literature so although i try to help as best i can and post with relevent topics and replys does this mean i will never get validated?
  4. you can use one of the many desktop setups as long as you have the correct ports on your laptop if not you can get usb powered ones just have a look on www.e-buyer.com or www.ebay.co.uk

  7. yeah i have searched and i have found pics of othe base ta26 that are similar from different years but cant find this exact one
  8. i only know it is a base because i was told by the person i bought it off on ebay
  9. well doing the regrind and sanding the new pads as well as the water bleed has made a load of difference. The rear brake is really grippy now . thanks for all the help. I have just had a nice ride with a couple of mates and my god im aching all over serves me right for not riding for 3 years

  11. i dont know how many grinds its had as i have only just got the bike i have just re ground the rim as it had what looked like tar on it as well so i have cleaned that off cleaned my pads off and re bled the system with water and re set it all up and now it seems to be working but im off for a ride now so will let you know if the problem still exists thanks for all your help jamie
  12. pads are brand new bought yesterday. spent about hour yesterday stripping it down and bleedin them in the bath making sure it was totally air free and spent bout 30 mins setting them up yesterday i will try to re bleed them today and see if there might be an air lock somewhere the thing is most of the time it works and locks fine but then every now and again just as i am starting to trust it again it just gives out and i end up on my ass lol
  13. hi everyone i have a hs33 on the rear with a deep ground rim i am running the koxx brown pads and i have done a fresh water bleed but my rear brake keeps slipping when pedal hopping anyone got any ideay why this is happening? any help would be greatly appreciated many thanks jamie
  14. brake sllipping is my bigges fear happened to me before wen doing a 5 foot drop and i headbutted the ground fairly hard serves me right for not wearing a lid i suppose

  17. hi i have seen a really cheap shogun gimp mod and i was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them i no shogun bikes are crap but i had a little ride on one at my local shop and it seemed alright but then i have only been hopping around for 5 mins or so on it i was just wandering if the frame is any good (strength wise as i am trying to get back into the sport and am a little out of practice) any replies will be greatly appreciated jamie

  19. hi i had my bike stolen in the summer and was wandering if everyone can keep an eye out for me it is : azonic ds2 brushed ally frame with an extra weld along the bottom of the seat post where it joins the bottom bracket, chrome straight blade 5 piece forks, d521cd on bulb hubs, middleburn rs7 cranks square drive, race face taper lock steel bottom bracket, road cassette. xt short cage mech, xt shifter, lx levers, xtr v breaks, snafu pedals, 24/7 bars and stem, fsa pig headset, i hope someone can help me out as i cant afford to replace this bike and insurance wont pay out as wasn't at my house when was stolen. the police are rubbish at finding bikes. it was locked up before someone asks. thanks jamie :)
  20. hi i have tried tar and i am not to keen on it as the noise it make do get on your nerves a bit lol i prefer a nice light rim grind and a set of nice soft pads this usually does the trick ok hope this helps jamie
  21. hi i tend to use 1 finger for breaking most of the time i find it so much easier to controll it realy depends on your brake setup what leavers ect i use 1 finger if im using maggies but if im using v's i tend to use 2 to get a bit extra power on the breaks
