  6. i want some shiny silver rims for my ride and was thinking about echo 2006. now i have tryall and they just look gray. are 2006 echo rims polished? do 20" rims also collapse like the 26"?
  7. Phil, I'll try to call you today evening if I find the time. PM doesn't work probably because I'm a pre-member.
  8. very surprised, maybe i'm out of luck... i'd use tarty as sb suggested, but i've got a combined order and have already put some money down granty - have you also ordered some 06' deng&co. parts? did select say when they plan to recieve the consignment?
  9. The service is absolutely disgraceful I've tried to get through to them by phone and there has been no reply for a few days now. If opening hours are set, they shoud keep to them, especially that it's probably just an internet shop. This is not the first time I've had this problem. I get instructions to call next working day (or the same day for example) and there's nobody to pick up the bloody phone. I'm trying to get an order through as soon as possible, and it seems that the odds are against me Never again to selectbikes, long live Tartybikes!!
  10. In my opinion a big gap is a good combination of hight and speed. haven't yet got the catch of a 'flat' pedalkick, alsways raise my rear wheel very high into the air. At least it looks effective  Have a look at TRA's august 18th movie, he does some huge gaps there. Maybe you'll get the hang of the move, it varies depending on how far you are to kick.
  11. All the new bikes form 'Deng & Co.' seem to be fitted with an echo bb. These are only available in 128mm. My zoo doesn't seem to work with a bb that wide, kept ripping chains because they ran diagonally. I am now getting a mod typhoon, and want to change the bb because mine is already pretty crooked. Will an Echo BB be ok with the GU, even though the same width didn't work with a python? Anyone else had a similar problem? What bb do you have in your python?
  12. yes, the higher you have your bars, the easier it will be to learn. a long mod also makes a big difference. i find it easier on a stock. bigger wheel means it forgives more mistakes in a bad tap.
  13. joe, you need the newest divx to play the movie (Y)
  14. recently started practicing a trick I see more and more riders do (Tunii, CLS, TRA). thought i got the catch of it, but i can't get the rear wheel onto the rail. heres a vid: http://www.thc.j.com.pl/foxracer/nasze_fil...nia_z_dupy.divx any advice? regards, alex
  15. mine took a few hours once it was put on. it wouldn't work when i started riding, but at the end of the day it worked great
  16. in poland we have one pro girl, whose family is all into trials (mother, father and brother) my girlfriend can pedalkick
  17. well, ive been riding a mod ever since i began riding trials, although i had a go on a short stock for a month or two and it was great. not really into the big wheel although i appreciate it
  18. Hi guys! I want to change my CLS Python to a shorter frame (GU or the Yao Zhi replica). As I've seen from the movies, most of you are into long bikes. Here in Poland mod bikes are not too popular, and most in use are of 1030mm WB, or even 1070 for some huge riders. That's why I can't get any feedback at all  What WB would you reccomend for touchhops, sidehops and some natural riding? Id also fancy b-hops, they're a bit too hard on the 1045 WB. Selectbikes have their last Yao Zhi frame in stock right now, and GU is a bit too expensive, but I think its affordable with the 15% discount for x-mas. What would be your choice? Cheers
  19. Hi there! I am going to weld myself a custom frame and therefore have a few questions to those, who have ridden many varieties of mod frames. What I'm planning is as follows: 370mm chainstays 1015mm wheelbase 50mm bb rise (could you write me the advantages of a high bb i.e. 70mm on mod, as apposed to a low one?) fork angle similar to most trials bikes arround. So far I've been riding a mod bike, my style has become static ever since I got a CLS frame. From a rolling start I do pedalups and taphops. Although I've been riding for over 5 years, I know little about frame geometry. That's why I'm interested in your ideas about how to change the geometry so that it suits my style of riding (and will allow for b-hops and natural riding) Cheers!
  20. strange country England... new parts are ridiculously expensive, whereas used - worthless (Y) they'd give me more in poland for this frame :-
  21. I am thinking of selling my ZOO CLS frame, and am wondering how much it is worth. Almost in mint condition, with a few scratches underneath and a dent after a bad sidehop. Also wonder how much I could get for a Profile Racing BMX green hub (mint from Tartybikes)? This doesn't seem to be the right place to post these messages (nor do I treat it as a sell post), as for now I'd only like to know how much it's worth, need to plan the future of my bike (ZOO frame turned out to be too long (Y) ) The reason for this question is that I no longer live in the UK and have no idea about prices.
