  1. the bright green looks so much better than the dark green echo make there parts in.
  2. thats what happens when you get too excited
  3. must say i like the long gu much more than the python, but then the python is totally different. think i'll go for the gu not timmy Edit: how would you compare these frames to a Monty 221 PR ?
  4. Hobnobs - what fork does he use?
  5. Hey Here's a link to a video from my city. click These guys have been riding for about 3 years now. Wojtek is still a junior and has placed 2rd in "amateur" in the international Slopestyle event in Austria. Thought you might enjoy the vid, i think its great. Cheers, Alex
  6. id be interested in the real wheelbase of these bikes (my gu is slightly long as cls python built on the same parts). it would be great if the short gu also turned out to be a bit longer, like 1010mm or sth.
  7. what about the titanium FSA isis? are they worth the money ? heard titanium doesnt really work with hardcore use.
  8. which frame would you choose? both have similar geometry please dont write 'dont take the silly short one go for a long'. i've decided on a short frame a while ago.
  9. not good at numbers, but a high and long stem will give you a better tap, beter pedalkick, and will feel more easy on the rear. nevertheless its better to learn to ride on a low stem, it is the better way ouw.
  10. you can order custom geometry for lesson bikes? EDIT: how much is a frame? look like theyre made of cr-mo? any website?

    Chains!

tried using a KHE, but it didnt work on a profile hub. had a kmc, was good, but i dont trust it. the day i bought it, a friend posted me with a pic of some german guy whose kmc chain snapped - he broke both his elbows and had to have some metal positioners to keep his arms in place before they healed. damn i was afraid for the next few days of riding
  12. well thats why they sell some standard builds with a semi-mod stem like the hi-fi
  13. these graphics would be great for a tee the Mr. Shoe conversion is great, but i cant resist imagining what would happen to the rider if his brake didnt hold
  14. not in a mood for essays. good job and good riding
  15. Tomm - because my bike hasnt got a d-brake mount
  16. Tomm, that's what im after. I still havent made the adaptor, but have done some preliminary work and I do need a front caliper. When i get the brake, i will adjust the adaptor, so it takes a front caliper.
  17. Pads used: RimJam Green compound Brake Setup: Magura HS33 Race line, 4 bolts, Echo Control booster Time Used: since 07/05 Grind: Very deep cuts on one side Other Pads Used: Local pads, ZOO! Green Tar: Yes, + rosin, resin Performance: When I put them on, they worked great. It's a hard compound so it gives a great feel on the brake. Slight wear after 6 months of riding on a ground rim. The brake is faily strong, but much weaker compared to the Zoo pads. Pretty poor when it's wet, not too good on a smooth rim. Also the shoe (or whatever you call it) fell apart quite quickly, the teeth broke off. That resulted in play. Overall: These pads are adequate, but I wouldn't reccomend them.
  18. First of all, which disc to choose. It's going to be mounted on a mod bike, rear. The adaptor im making will accept discs size 6-8". The problem is, that any disc larger than 6" will require a front caliper. Options: Hope Mini (180-200mm) -Hope M4 (180-200mm) -Hope Trials -Any other reliable hydros? (not exceeding 120 pounds) I'd preferably go for the Mini or M4. After all a 8" disc on a 20" wheel is like having a 270mm rotor on a stock. Therefor i think that the Hope Trials would make modulating the power a precision sport. Asking because i dont want the most powerful option, but a balance between power and modulation. Which of these would you choose? Do you know a bike store that would sell a front brake with a long hose (1400mm)? And just in case anybody knows - i heard that a rear bmx king hub with an iso shell results in the disc being closer or further away from the frame mount. Do you know how large the dislocation is? I can manage 5mm
  19. IMO a full disc could actually be weaker. its like a pipe being stronger than a rod. that's just a guess
  20. still, its wise to buy a IEEE1394 controller (firewire) if you have a dv camera.

    Zoo Font

building up a python with pink accents on it, so id like to change the stickers to pink with GAY! written on them. the thing is that i found no fonts that would match the zoo font, and i couldnt be bothered to desighn each letter. i saw some red zoo stickers on sb's bike, did you just modify the sticker or did you re-make it? do you know any similar fonts?
  22. nice one just try and get your rear wheel on the edge when pedalkicking, it will make things easier for you in the future
  23. zoo have long chainstays which i personally dont like. it gives much more power though don't know how the zip rides but you might want to consider the long stays in the zoo, they make a big big difference
  24. they probably would, but putting it the other way round doesn't give you more power, it's just more mechanically sound. EDIT: don't want to start another topic, if the mini are too weak, would an M4 hope be good enough? 20" wheels, 8"/7" disc on the rear?
  25. just OT: did you find the brakes strong enough? were they the trials or just mini? thinking of getting some myself.
