I think it's a super stron alkaline type substance, that will probably strip paint like a pressure hose cleans ants from a patio hahaha. Do you just need to get the rim out? because you could probably get a wire coat hanger and fassion it into a crude hook and then get it out and hose it down to clean off the residue, that would be the simplest, crudest method! but that stuff is evil so be carefull!

Deoderant works better fyi because it evaporates like that taking some crap with it, and i had cleaned the rim, try deoderant (cheapo shit btw) for cleaning a frame!

is 05lever/piston the bikes as good as new to but there is flex, i saw a booster on tarty about £30 was huge, and shiny (L) i think you know the one, is that much better then the onza carbon fibre one? (not to bothered about wieght)

I'm running the red magura pads that came with the brake (cool stops?) i haven't got a booster (yet) i ordered an onza carbon fibre one (in november) and the shop still havent got one, anyone want to recomend one?

Tar only makes you pad stick to your rim is you keg your rim with it (no surprise) but it rarely does otherwise!

I have a t-bird and i can't get the brakes to work well at all they hardly ever lock, i've done a grind and i even throw a bit of tar on for good measure but i still move the wheel round loads when i'm riding i fell off the other day doing pedal hops, i don't think i need a bleed yet any ideas?

Enamel paint should be fine, but you might want to invest in some varnish to make the paint stay there longer! (i have noticed my feet rub on the cylinders and it has striped the paint on them) also I paint minatures for cash (like a hooker with a desk...) and it's the same paint unless you sand down the cylinder, then you might want to do a basecoat (black or white spray paint, black if it's a dark colour, white if it's a light colour) What colour are you doing them?

Whats the pros and cons of isis bottom brackets and square tappered ones, and is there much of a difference in price. I've got a square tapered atm and it works it's way loose every now and then does this happen with isis bbs?

Well in my village i did have a disused quary where i used to do bmx and a bit of mtb but usually just ramps etc had it closed down because one person complained, (i even petitioned through my whole village (population 800ish) and about 30 people wouldn't sign because they didn't understand the concept of bikes being used for something other than A to B, the rest thought that it was good that we (me and biker chums) were making use of the space and had cleared it up (who want's to ride near drugie shit and glass?) and we weren't a menace (half of the time we would borrow spades, barrows etc of the people who lived nearby)) Then they spent 8 grand on a new park when it was 2 grand to insure us forever, then they buldosed the whole thing (2 years worth of digging etc gone) So thats the main reason i'm doing this, plus i was told off for riding the park (which as far as i'm concerned i have every right to do) AND the guy who had the place closed even had the cheek to ask me if i had anything else better to do!
