I still haven't come to a conclusion about this. I think there should be the option of super frames (ashtons, cousts etc) but a lot more bargain frames for the less well off, parts other than the frames cost enough anyway (i.e. 90quid for some forks...)

Get some bmx pedals, because they are a lot tougher, there a bit heavier but i havent noticed much. can't dinf a pic but would recomend some snafu ones, i run them there awesome (2nd pair i've bought, one on ma oold bmx nd a pair for my onza) and at £25 you can't go wrong...

The bolts arent bent, my freind used "alternative locktite" (he borrowed em, and cleaned up up a bit, and tuk the bolts out etc) aka normal superglue, i don;t have a blowtorch will the gas cooker be ok?

You might wana lube em up, don't use anything from a can though (wd40 etc) cause they dry up and rape the bits, use some 3 in 1 oil etc... It's alwayd good to lube parts up good

If i were you I'd make your mate pay for the stuff before setting him on fire as for the disk (can't help you with the pads, they could be well and trully f**ked 'cause the pad material may have absorbed the the oil) but the disk! burn it on a gas cooker till it's black, clean off the black stuff, DO NOT PUT IT ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR PADS because the pads will cover it in oil again I heard some people put disks in a pan of water, and boil the water till the water has evaporated (and in theory the oil etc goes with the water) and keep doin it till the disk is dry...

I almost did that, but i realised i don't know to much about it, (My teacher sed i cud have teken bike in) This is how i wud have done it if i did well start with the history of trials, then explain how you got into the sport, run over bike (point out the bits that make it a trial bike, wide rims, lower frame NO SEAT etc) go on about it etc hope i helped

I agree how trials is good because it is "unique" and unlike skating there's never an army of people doing it which is nice, but it's not fair to make everything super expensive we need to find a balance

I'm currently playing around with some pedals (caged ones you get witha t-bird) and i can't undo one of the bolts that holds the plates in, any ideas?

You do have to admit that the price you pay for a frame is hugeley extorionate! I mean ok they do spend months on end designing totally awesome frames, but not everyone can afford these things, a lot of riders are teenagers and early 20s (majority, i know there are older and younger riders) and most people can't produce that kind of money easily at all (i know i sure as hell can't) but the prices are a total skank! So i think it's great that people are ripping off better designs and selling them for less!

There both awesome, you should market them I'd get one (if i rode a stock or i didn't have a bash)

I think it's ok now, i sprayed some wd40 stuff in it, sounded bad but i spun it round this morning and it sounded ok. I might put some normal oil in it though.

That would be right good especialy at a comp. where if something on your bike died you could get some cheapo alternative in situ.

Have you ever had a go on a current t-bird or t-vee 'cause the geometry is virtually the same (i ride the current t-bird and it feels identical to the old pro, slight wieght difference though...)

It could work!
