depends on your riding style mate to be honest the shimano bbs arnt tht good. think im using a cheap race face 1 n i like it. but id recomend the fsa platinum pro 40grams i think for £25 nice n light i am heavy footed at times so it may last you longer. get on www.chainreactioncycles.com n have a look
  4. i was looking at getting one imported for £220. i may sell my profile n get a king when iv got the money
  5. when i was riding an acs freewheel i was constantly tightening it. at one point i had to rebuild the damm thing but they are really good. depends on what locktight you use as it comes in different grades as some just protect against vibration. if you pop into say a garage or engineering workshop see if they have lock tight bearing lock this stuff sets like concrete and will never come off. i work as a mechanical engineer so i use locktight alot. you may also find the more engagment points the weaker it will become
  6. if im going ill be able to give some one a lift if they need it. btw i live in whitchurch (shrop)

it should have a stamp or sticker stating the sizes, if it doesnt you may be best taking it to a bike shop and ask for one the same size. to measure it yourself you would really need a vernier calliper. if you do take the measure ment of the thread of the bb (most common is 68mm) and take the measurement of lengh of the axle if this is not right the cranks might not fit.

yeh make sure you measure the lenght of the axle or write down the sizes of your old bb if you dont it could cause you a few problems
  9. i wudnt say profiles are cheap, i paid £160 for my mini last year its a good hub i recently got it seviced but i think the cassete is on its way out. iv not ridden king but with 72 engagment points id like to have a go with one. i think the profile has 48 or sumthing

  11. braided hoses arnt really designed to last longer they actually reduce expansion i think in the hose to increase the braking performance. they must be proven to work as they are very popular in the car scene
