  1. Hey you i know a lot of people ask questions like this but...someone is interested in selling me a monty 231 ti frame in perfect nick basically brand new! he's advertised the whole bike for seven hundred...its on ebay at the mo so you can have a look. i was just wondering how much do you think i should offer? i do really really want it it saves me buying a whole new bike. cheers guys
  2. i think everyone should chillout, cheers people who stood up for me n made my point clear. As they said all i wanted to do is say my opinion on heatsink and yeah i read the reviews but was just asking what other 'trials riders' thought. Dont see why the validated people have to think they can jus pre-judge me! anyway thats all gotta say on this topic
  3. i aint no brownose, i was just saying how i liked their parts and thought they're wicked, who you to say im a brown nose anyway
  4. where can you buy refils from as i want to the pads with their backings but dont wanna have to keep forking 32quid for the whole lot each time my pads wear out?
  5. I ride 26" and the only 20" i can ride is the benito ross eplica which my mate has oh yeah and its the first one ever made BSTARD but my fav 26" has to be the monty 231 ti in silver it is the nicest looking frame i've ever seen and ican imagine it is amazing to ride i crave the bloody thing, somone else out their must agree with me?
  6. Ive been on the heat sink website recently, and i honestly think their stuuf is awesome. It's about time people really did bring out tidy parts as theirs i know echo and hope have awesome stuff and produce more then them, but i really think their stuuf looks awesome i was jus wondering has anyone got or ridden one of their frames cause im looking for a new one and considering theirs as an option i have read their reviews but thought i might aswell ask? cheers guys.
  7. what sort of saracen is it? i had the mad it was wicked a bike i di dit up a fair bit but now got most parts on my monty. i could throw bike that bike round like anything they're good fun to have.
  8. Im currently selling my bike and had it advertised in the MBUK ads, I got this message from some bloke saying he was interested but he had to pay me buy cheque as his contact in the uk owed him some money, so i agreed. but then he told me that he had to send me a cheque for 3000 and that i would wait for it to clear then take out 400 and send him back 2600 via western union money transfer! this guy was so wierd he never gave me any details he changed his name twice! after a while i said i didn't want anything to do with him! Now the same guy pretending to be some one else saying he'sgotta pay me buy cheque as he's on a business trip in glasgow got in cotact saying he saw my ad even thoughi took it off like a week ago! i thought id let people know about this and was wondering if its happend to anyone else out their?
  9. hey their...im getting a new wheel soon but i've come a cropper and need some help here asap. I got all my money together and was ready to order then i noticed that the 26" echo fixed hubs only had 1 side with a thread on it! And my friend and i reckon this means that i wont be able to put my 18t eNo freewheel on it as it will only accept a screw on cog...is this right! ? If so could anyone tell me what DMR revolver hubs like because that will be my second choice...i only want to be running a freewheel on the rear as my front crank is in perfectly good nick
  10. a lunge is quite simple once you get the nack of it like most things in life, what you do is you pedal forwards to what you wanna go up then give your bike a jab or kick i find it easier if you just before you get to the wall you put in a half crank and quarter of the way through that you kick/jab your pedal using your lead foot and at the same time push your bike up keeping the front wheel high and landing on your back wheel on whatever you were aiming for hope thats of some use to you not easy to understand i know but hope it is some help buddy
  11. i was gonna do that but thought i'd check it's alright to use anti freeze first incase would damaged my seals or anything of the sort!
  12. yeah his mech should bolt straight on to his new frame, but he's still got the hanger off his frame attatched too his hanger so thats where his problem starts he's trying to fix his mech to a frame while the hanger is still attatched
  13. oooooohhhhhhhh not good! well im jus parying right now it aint gonna be cold tonight! as the old girls in the shed.
  14. pretty simple from what i can see mate, it seems you have actually taken the whole hanger off you old bike which is the bit with the three holes in it. You should take that hanger off your mech which is easily done with an allen key this should leave you with 2 sepearate bits. then quite simply attatch your rear mech onto your other frame by bolting on to the hanger. Hope that helps?
  15. yeah i kinda thought about the freezing thing after i bled it . im hoping not to find my hoses blown apart in the morning! but it does feel so so much better far more responsive in everyway
  16. today i jus bled my rear maggy with water as it has been driving me crazy for ages as it was sticky and horrible no matter how many times i bled it with oil! and now its amazing! it is so snappy and the lever return is quick, its jus perfect better then anything i've ever used it feels jus like a disc brake. i bled it with bottled water as thought that would a better idea... but can anyone tell me is their anything wrong with me using water? i met some guy who's done the same and his brake is amazing aswell seems much better than using oil!
  17. your looking between 7 and 8 feet i think mate, pretty high. i aint reall yone for big drops as scared will bust my bike not myself as it costs to fix a bike not your self as if your young enough parents will pay for your body repairs lol
  18. the highest wall i ever did i accidently front wheel tapped and it sent me flying up their but i cant really do them to well as it trips me out a little bit as im so used to not doing it, i never have managed to get up the wall again smoothly it normaly invloves a bit of the meltal from the bash coming into action
  19. i jus asked my mate who lives near the sea wall which go up, his house is 2 metres away from the sea front where we ride he measured the wall as 45inches, which is pretty cool but i dont always get it first time! i find though the higher i go the harder it is to stay on the back wheel. do you get that problem? 58" f!*kn hell thats pretty high dude, good effort chap
  20. Yeah i mean a run up, i normaly do half a crank then kick it up their and hope lol. when i try static its normally about 40 inches for me im jus guessing here as dont measure stuff when i ride but i do normally guess right.
  21. when my mate got his craig lee zoo python he got a bag for his frame and cut that up and used it, looks fine and wicked. thought it funny and hopefully might help
  22. seeing as people are asking how far you can gap and how bigs your biggest drop.....i thought i'd ask people how high they can lunge/jump up things too the back wheel that is. i can do roughly 4-41/2 ft i dunno if thats good or not really seeing as i ride with mainly with two other people who both ride 20's.
  23. I think big drops look cool when you take a picture and the suroundings are good, i've done a 8ft off a old bus shelter to concrete, i do find though big drops can take their toll on your cranks is it jus me, lol. the shelter is at the top of a hill and my mate took the photo with a sunset aswell
