Right, as i've got back into riding I've found my bar and stem setup seems to feel rather poor (far too 'hunched' when on the back wheel) and generally just not comfortable. Obviously I've got taller, etc since I last rode the bike (nearly 2 years ago now!). Anywho, I'm looking for a new bar and stem. I ride an ancient 26" Planet X Zebdi (!) and ride in a streety style manner. I'm around 5' 10" in height (if that helps?) And as I havent been into trials for ages, i dont know what's currently on the market. So if you lot could reccommend what bars (i'd prefer risers) and specify what rise would suit me best. And also what stem (length, degree of rise, etc.) Obviously I dont want to spend a vast amount of money on them as i only ride once every few weeks, so there's no point in spending loads of money on stuff which I won't use very often. I think thats about it, anything else you need to know, just ask. Recommend away folks, Cheers, Paul.

How did she take it? If a so called 'mate' did that to my car, I probably would disown them. You are extremely lucky you didnt hit any other motorists/people. Anyway, for driving like some irresponsible joyrider --> Goodbye licence. Paul. :)

How weird, I've been out of the whole trials 'thing' for 2(ish) years, purely as I didnt have time and lost interest... I've just kinda got back into it, riding maybe once every couple of weeks, mainly for the excersize and seeing if I could still do stuff I used to be able to do, I still dont really have a sudden urge to go out on the bike and stuff but I guess the novelty wears off after a few years... But Ben, dont sell your bike, I'm really glad I haven't (although I did think about it many times). Just incase one day you get that sudden urge to ride, and if that happens and you've got no bike then you'll be gutted that you sold it. (If that makes any sense) Paul.

Right i was getting so annoyed with the countless posts about these so i thought i'd make an FAQ post about it. If there's any more info or questions about braided hosing, then please dont hesitate to post a question and hopefully someone will be able to help. Also if anyone else has anymore info then please put it in here. Places that sell braided hosing kits: Chain reaction for only £34.99 Supercycles from £12.00 for front set. Broadribbs for only £34.99 ( i think) + p&p. 01926 421428 (Lemington Spa) or 01869 253170 (Bicester) Venhill These guys are the main importers/distributors of magura in the UK. So they know the deal with braided hosing, you can purchase them via their distributors and there is a list of them on the site. A very useful site. Advantages: * Make's your bike look a bit more 'special' * Some people say it makes the performance of your brake a bit better but it doesnt really make a massive difference. Disadvantages: * Add's a little bit more weight * Can scratch paint on the frame badly if it rubs * Cant really be cut that easily So thats about it, i hope to see a decrease in the amount of useless posts in the forum now! Also thanks to Adam (thetart20) for his help on this. Like i said before post any questions in here and hopefully someone will be able to help. And more information on these products is allways welcome too. Thankyou please.. =Paul=
