I know its already been said but DONT DO IT Oil is used to keep the parts and pistons lubed. If you use water this wont happen and you will be quickly ruining a good working brake. Water shouldnt be really used in Maggies but they are a little more forgiving that Hope pistons Frooty

Eh that dont make sense, im guessing your wanting new brakes for your monty. If so Hope are good brakes and would be worth the money, when they work they work well If that aint what you wanted then i cant help as that post dont make 100% sense Frooty

Its definately sounding like the hub, the deore isnt made for trials, no matter how small the riding may be, and i found it out the same way the bearings will have come out and the internals will be cracked/well on their way Upgrade to a hope, i know its more cash but they are well worth the cash Frooty

Ask for help on here then there are a load of people on here who are VERY good at things like this, a little help wont be a bad thing, just make sure you get all the copyright etc etc (or whatever is involved) Frooty

I understand what you say about not being able to get a part going cheap, but imagine if it was you selling a part, a new member comes on, you send the part and never get the cash, or vice versa you never get the part from a new member after sending cash. Validation is there for that reason and many more, to protect the long standing members from scammers and having to read posts which dont make sense. You look at the quality of topics on NMC and compare them to the main forum, there is one hell of a difference. Some people get validated very quickly as they contribute useful posts which make sense and dont post the same topic many times, and actually use english, nt juz txt tlk vat no 1 can undastand! If you stay in NMC your there for a reason, and once you make a bad name for youself (just like the poster of this topic has done), its a big uphill struggle to prove your worthy again.
