  1. pretty good riding, the chavs stood outside the shop made me laugh
  2. definately 2 cross. but i think the other guides you put a link to should help. they look more detailed with pics... thanks very much. i'll have another go tomorrow as my fingertips are sore atm. thanks
  3. if its too high you will have trouble levelling the bike out in mid air... well i did when i put a high rise stem on my old planet x.
  4. ive followed this guide to build a 3 cross wheel... laced it up, its only 2 cross. took it apart, tried again following it step by step (used common sence 1st time round) yet i still end up with a 2 cross wheel.... i cant work out where ive gone wrong.... any ideas?
  5. just had another idea... plain old heli coil? what you reckon? cheaper.. easer? less meterial coming off. thanks
  6. got a set of echo forged cranks sadly the pedal threads are busted on them... they just went when out riding. both in the space of a couple of days. would it be possible to drill them out and put the tensile pedal thingy in there? this thing i am a fairly harsh rider.. so will this affect the strength much? thanks
  7. oooh yeah! my old ghetto blaster! that paint really has come out well! i'm gonna have to do my forks with that paint! your just gonna have to let me know how it lasts
  8. i heard from someone that if you put talcom (SP) powder on your tube it doesnt pinch as easy... never tried it because i dont get 'em that often anymore. should give it a try
  9. just looked on merlin, are them hfx 9's okay on the rear. like do they lock well, work well in the wet, any problems with them? thanks
  10. thanks for the quick replies. i did hear that bb7s on the rear were really shit, the only rear disk i've rode was a hope trial and that was hot. so i guess im gonna have to start saving up then.
  11. hey all. should have a mod sorted soon, and id like to run double disk. not sure what i wanna put on it though, as i dont have much to spend. i was thinking maybe hayes hmx2's the cable ones in 160mm. just wondering if there is any problems running a cable disk on the rear? if so what? or if you know of any brakes that work better for a similar sorta price? thanks.
  12. lol.... 'least the spot is still there.... my favourite... and pretty much only half decent local spot was knocked down and replaced with grass and flowers! as you can probably guess theres been some nice skid marks left i reckon you should just keep riding that place. your not exactly doing any harm. whats an asbo? chavs have them as fasion accesories, cant be that bad. alan
  13. hey il be with t comp mike.... there is already a topic in rides/locations. nobody has replied. but 1 person has added me to msn i'l give him my number next time hes online... hope to see you all there alan

    Grrr

the other day i was looking at insurance quotes for various cars using moneysupermarket.com as you do to see what cars gonna be cheaper to ensure etc etc..... then ive decided to experiment and see what sorta car i could insure....which led me to a nissan skyline ....... with money supermarket it requires you to put a contact number down for some f**king reason. so ive done that not thinking anything of it... and then unchecked the box that says "uncheck this box if you do NOT want your details to be passed on" this morning dead on 9 oclock i gets a b*****d phone call asking about a twatting insurance quote for a nissan skyline...... half an hour later... the same twat rings back. you'd think they get the picture the 1st time.... holy crap its stressed me out..... got out of bed for nothing and im mega tired LMAO anyways. nice to rant. cheers
  16. hello there guys and girls. couple of us from sunny redcar are on about driving to leeds this sunday... we have no route knowledge of riding spots...cheap parking or whatever.... would anyone be up for a little bit of a ride? get back to me! i find it easier to chat on msn as im not on here often. my msn is planet-x-alan@hotmail.com
  17. dont like the top picture at all! totally horrible.... i actualy shouted "EWW" when i opened the page....... the tweaked one underneath looks quite nice... i think its just the dodgy top tube thats the put off.... but it must be there for a reason.... i dunno. think the tweaked one looks a bit like a koxx... what you reckon? and the brown rims look a bit shitty.
  18. i've been running a dmr revolver with a 16t acs claw freewheel for about 6 or 7 months now and its took a fair bit of hammer, seems really tough and the freewheel hasnt skipped once in all that time. its cheaper than getting a half decent cassette hub and tougher in my eyes. only down side is if you was to run gears. and i have heard a lot of bad things about the axles on the revolver casette hub. thanks
  19. a lot of peoples worst crashes have been on rails. id say mine is too i think. went for a large ish gap to rail and as i kicked my chain snapped, i had enough momentum to plant my front wheel on the rail but i paniced and put my foot on the rail, it slipped and i landed on my groin. had a pretty damn big bruise and about 4 cuts in the reigon..... ouch! still i fixed my chain and continued riding for the day.... but in pain! nowdays, everytime i see someone snap a chain i feel sick! i dont know why i just do its weird but still thanks alan

basically a web page for chavs to say how they feel about the situations where everyone hates them.... http://www.chavworld.co.uk/proud-chavs.htm wasnt too sure wether to post this in the best of the internet thread or not so i just put it in here. enjoy
  21. my biggest drop on my old bike (base ta26) was around the 10ft mark.... yeah i cracked it, but still managed to ride home on it! on my curtis ive done 12ft give or take a few inches and landed super smoooooth but yeah drops arent that fun really and as some guy said they can go terribly wrong i prefer drop gaps but i guess they can go just as wrong if not worse. never mind
  22. most outstanding! just so you guys can see the set of rails he did a bit better, il put the pic of me doing them on a couple years back. but well done mike! now to do the 50 or so down near the library
  23. ello darlington isnt a bad ride. but there is a fair bit of scum round there. there are some good stuff there and a little bit out of the way theres a little skate park which i think is pretty cool. just round the corner from the train station is a church yard which is pretty good if you like stupidly insane gaps and stuff. if you fancy riding there then PM me and il see if i can come along i also know quite a few other riders that would be well up for it.
  24. yeah man thats me! i finally know who you are now!
