Which out of these two bonds is the strongest type of bond, covalent or ionic? I was under the impression that covalent bonds have the strongest bond between molecules (e.g. diamond) But Ionic bonds have the strongest bonds between atoms e.g. salt which is a giant ionic lattice and has a very high melting point. this is for my GCSE's by the way. Thank you.
