  1. also think about your distance to the subject-and the distance of the background--- confused?????you will be if I were to talk about HYPERFOCAL DISTANCE????? But thats another thread another day, and not really suited to a trials forum!!! Nowadays with digital compacts you hardly have any control over depth of field. concentrate more on composition( whats in the picture) its that factor that can make you go wow or whoopeee, or make it look like an average pic. woody
  2. some really nice pics there mate,. just a few points...... * keep your backgrounds clutter free ( cars , people) * always think ------if I could improve the shot, how would I do it????? then just do it. * try some new perspectives--------think different everytime.( low or high angles) * pic your background first then let the rider come into it, not the other way round. MY 4 PRINCIPLES OF GOOD PHOTOGRAPHY ARE *FOCUS *EXPOSURE *IMAGE SIZE *COMPOSITION crackinig effort ......well done
  3. you know the small car jacks that come standard with all cars???? use one of them, just push it between the D and screw away, eventually it will crack... been there done that. no electric required
  4. cheers darren as for the size of the pics its deliberate, as I am a photographer by trade I have to ensure they won,t get stolen by some random scum. Therefore I put them on small and lo res. They are just a taster of what you might get if you were to come out on a days riding in Ashford. they are my little teasers.............. and there's more this is the biggest I go
  5. darren hill darren hill darren hill rob
  6. just a little montage of a mate yesterday
  7. borrow a tenner from mummy and daddy.........get a big bucket and sponge and go knockng on doors to see if people want cars washing.....it always used to work with me. or get up nice and early tomorrow , find a local easter egg hunt........find all the eggs before the kids. then if you are real smart you could set up a table and sell them when they return EGGLESS!!! WORKS EVERY TIME.
  8. Hi all If you have already read my new post in new members, you will see I am looking to start a new video. We are kicking off in Ashford today ( 12 o clock ) at the train station be there if you want to be a film star!!!! as of lastnight 5 riders will be out woody
  9. Hi where abouts in Deutchland are you from??? I used to be based in Paderborn.......its there that I started to ride TRials on my 14" GT Zaskar!!! Something that always hacked me off was the German Maguras....they are always set up back to front i.e front on the left ...vice versa. because I never knew how to bleed them, I just turned them upside down and swapped them over. but guys if you want maggys Germany is the place to buy them, about £30 boxed in any bike shop over there cheers woody
  10. keep one of your cheepo inner tubes that you split........cut out the valve, and then cut a slice out all the way round the inside.....then simply wrap it around your new tube. its a bit fiddly getting it back in the wheel, but it will give you double protection. its also not that noticeable in the weight side of things. it works a treat woody
  11. ok then so for my first bit of advice...... reccomend me a 20" for under £800 or should I go for a new 26"??? currently I got a crappy little 20"...... was thinking of a T lite or koxx??? as for 26" I look the look of the Limey??? so many toys you lot are spoilt for choice nowadays..........I used to use a Canondale f800 cad 3 small!!! and it even had a seat!!!!!!
