  1. I don't know what's the problem, i have been using deng's cranks, monty and at the moment running trialtech with bash. Never had any troubles. :ermm:

You been using them with a front freewhweel and bash gaurd, not bash plate?

  2. As we all know the majority of mods run bash plates so this is not normally a problem.

Im looking to run 160mm cranks with a ffw and bash ring. There seems to be a lot of selection of cranks all around a similar price, with as far as i can tell, not a lot of differance between them.

I would like to know What cranks would be best to run the setup above. preferances and experiances would be good too.

    Many thanks

  3. Just wanted to say I snapped my mech hanger yesterday at 2pm, ordered a new one from tarty online at 4:30pm and received it about an hour ago today!!! Thats what you call outstanding service (Y)

Thought I was going to have to miss out on riding today!

    Muchos gracias to Tartybikes!!

you snapped that quick! how is the bike? all sorted now. did you not fancy goin for a spoke tensioner?

  4. I don't like it :(

I don't see why people buy a decent frame and put rubbish parts on... Why not upgrade your parts first, then get a new frame?

New forks/bars/stem and it should be ok..

Probably because not everyone is made of money

  5. Looking at switching from flat bars to risers on my 05 pythong, A few people have said bars with a big rise would feel great on it and since I've never used risers on it before, I'm willing to trust them.

Was looking on tartybikes and came across the echo TR riser, any good? They're the cheapest bar with a huge rise on there.

My bike's covered in echo bits and I've never had any problems so figured if these are good, I may aswell go for them

    thoughts?

I just got the sl bars, they look great and are really light

  6. i think its cause you got the maggy mount ones ... ive been riding silver disc only forks since christmans and ther absolutely fine ... but i dont know im only 10 stone so time will tell

    i like cheese :P

I was running them with a disk, i dont think the fork design is different to the disk only ones, just got the maggie mounts welded on. Unless the process of welding the maggie mounts on has weakened the fork then it shouldnt make a difference.

  7. Just resize the pics using paint and put them up here. I ma runing 18-14 with the half link it seems ok, haven't snapped it yet. Your rear tyre isn't 1.3kg it a holly roller it must be aroung 800g. My high roller is 1.3 originally, but after cutting it its only a bit over a 1kg. Schwalbe do a glue Al mighty tyre with 2.35 that has dual ply carcass but its a bit pricey (£45) Might get it soon, it's light and prety thick too.

im running a kenda blue groove mate, that pic is old now lol.

It just weighed in at 10.7kg
