  1. I just found that they do make the Eno freewheel in sizes of 16-23 teeth. But those are just 36 ep's. The 72 ep Trials version is 18t only. (Just incase anyone else was wondering the same thing).
  2. Didn't want to make a whole new post up for this... Does anyone know if this comes in a 16 tooth size? Or do the extra pawls restrict this to being slightly bigger? And I know someone said it's well worth the money. But ~£80 is a bit steep? Although, if it saves you from getting into similar situations to that video that's been floating around (gap attempt when chain snaps), I would guess it's definately worth shelling out for?!
  3. I recently bought a set of the black Zoo! cranks from Tartybikes. Haven't had the money to get a frame to put them on yet so I can't tell you how they feel or anything. But they seem pretty solid and are only £75. But I guess if, unlike me, you have the money to spend on decent ones go for Tensile or Middleburn's.
  4. I just remembered something about Supercycles earlier... About a week back I phoned a cycle shop in Hastings that sells Onza bikes because I wanted to check out the T-Rex. They said they haven't had any in for a while because Supercycles have been changing their warehouse location. I don't know whether that's the reason for any problems with shipping delays but it a possibility.
  5. You could email tartybikes... tartybikes@gmail.com I've placed two orders of cranks + bashring, then BB + cog.... both packages came next day. Definately recommended.
  6. Thanks for all the help. I would guess that building it myself and having it trued would be easiest and probably the better idea. But I've just been told my Grandad is going to give me all his old tools anyway. So I'll see what goodies I'm getting hold of before anything else. Thanks again.
  7. I'm building a new bike from scratch (mainly because my old parts are rusted from 5-6 years no use left in damp conditions). I'm wondering if people build their wheels themselves or buy the parts then get a shop to put them together. I know my Grandad used to own a bike shop and has some tools still. But I don't know if he has a truing stand. Is it worth buying one for the rate rims are gone through in trials? I would guess it's much cheaper in the long run to buy the tools, eg. truing stand, headset press, etc? (Not sure about a headtube facing tool because they cost most of an arm). Any advice on this would be much appreicated.
  8. My suggestion is head to your GP. Back when I was about 15 I was riding for hours every day. After a while I began to get a lot of backache and chest pains that felt like an anxiety attack on steroids while a fat guy was sitting on me. I eventually went to my doctor and my back healed but I still get chest pains. Very rarely, but they really can hurt. The Doctor put it down to massive amounts of slouched riding and not warming up for it. He claimed it would have been better if I'd gone to him earlier. So that's my suggestion: see your GP sooner rather than later. It could help in the long run.
  9. I'm not usually a fan of mod's but that is a really nice bike. Slightly off subject, what is the build quality like on the '06 Zoo's?
  10. Thanks for the reply. I had been thinking it was standard because of the extra strength in oversized tubing (if I understand it correctly?!) Also, I'm hoping to put in a set of Onza Tuf Guy's (if sizes allow). But I can't find any information on the disc mountings on them and I would like to run a Hope Mono Trials disc on the front. Another frame I'd been looking at was the Echo Control. I would consider the Toxsin One, too, if anyone knows of a shop I can get them in? (Tartybikes only have the 'Two').
  11. Hello, I used to do a lot of riding back around '99/'00 (mid-teen years). I started to get into trials back then but had a hell of a time trying to get hold of parts. It seems a lot easier to get parts now and i'm earning money to fund the hobby. I was looking at building around either the GU Typhoon (stock) or Zoo! Pitbull frames until I saw the amount of reviews commenting on bad quality. So I'm starting to look at the Toxin Two frame. Mainly because it's got a more "newbie-friendly" (?) geometry. But I can't seem to find any information on the BB shell size, headtube diameter, tyre clearance, etc. I would have guessed it's a 1 1/8" headtube and a 68mm shell. But I don't want to assume and buy parts that aren't going to fit. If anyone could suggest a better frame choice I'm somewhere around the 5'11"-6'. Thanks in advance for any help.
