  1. I don't know about you but I don't find this forum erotic QUOTE(deanie-b @ Jun 2 2006, 07:28 PM) ←I think it's a bit immature that someone who is 19 years old can't keep a lid on his language. There are bound to be younger people who browse this forum, who are now going to go out and repeat that coarse language somewhere. Not funny or clever in the slightest. People have already said this but don't take a forum post to heart. You're acting like a "bad" post is the end of the world. You have got to realise that swearing is common place in language in a lot of areas. For example, in an average conversation I have with a local almost every other word is a curse word. In other places I can have a conversation with no curse words at all. There's no post on here that's more grotesque than anything I've heard spouted in the street. I haven't been here long but I've made a few posts people haven't liked much. I apologised for offending people at the time. I've explained any humour. Yet I've still had people jumping on the bandwagon and throwing in their two cents. I must say that it's very off-putting when you get one person attack you for posting something they don't agree with. Then to have their cronies roll on in... it's a bit childish really. I mean, I can see where a lot of them are coming from. But if someone has explained why they're upset with a post why do 20 other members have to post the same shit in different wording? As I said, a bad post doesn't represent Armageddon. So why an army of self-righteous teens need to stroke their ego's by ridiculing new members is beyond me. I guess you could say I'm balancing it out - they attack newbies for things they don't like, so I attack that "in-crowd" for doing things I don't like, therefore I shall be attacked by other established members for attacking their friends and so on and so forth. It's a vicious cycle. This whole scenario is like global conflict: Some people will never like it. But you will never get rid of it.
  2. That's what it always said for me. I've still gotten one. I found it funny that he's admitting to stuffing large amount of rubber into his little brothers mouth. I'm wondering how long it will be before someone cuts one up into brake pads.
  3. Vincent Hermance. Nice blend of control and power and his riding flows very, very well.
  4. Spoken like a true BOFH I've known many administrators that say that. I've been guilty of that way of thinking in the past. It soon changes when you see you've had your server's/whatever's security compromised by a 13-year-old Brazilian kid leaving his "tag" in broken English. The fact is that most school/college administrators are people that gained Microsoft certificates for using Windows NT and maybe know a tiny bit about Cisco. They put most of their faith into systems like Websense and leave it at that. They seem to think that no-one that goes to the school/college will be more experienced in "administration." But anyone with some free time, knowledge of programming and access to securityfocus.com can get around almost any security system. As I said before, there are plenty of ways to bypass proxies at school. It's just not usually worth the effort, time nor money just so you can visit a website they're blocking.
  5. If I remember correctly, Websense is "transparent." So switching to Firefox wouldn't get around it. There are a few theories a friend and I came up with while in college. But they were more trouble than they were worth... unless you have a laptop, wireless card and 56k modem card to hand. Finding or setting up a new http proxy is the easiest way around it. Or as someone said, use google language tools
  6. Haha. I must be doing it properly because it hurts like f**k to me. Anyway, I'm with Smo. It's better to look a pillock in a helmet and have your skull intact than wanting to look cool with half your brain hanging out.
  7. It didn't say I'd one a monster. It said they would send me a "suprise." Turned out to be the monster and some postcards.
  8. Smells like recycled tractor tyres. Absolutely jack shit.
  9. The photos are definately good. Mr. Raab looks like he rides effortlessly! Both spots look like they're fun to ride. Looking forward to the other rider pics going up. Also, slightly (well, more than slightly) off topic... any idea when you'll be releasing the Vee booster?!
  10. I was looking at these a while back before I commited to buying a short bike. I'm sure the BB height is +10mm like the older versions. But in all honesty, I would steer clear of the new ones. Had no experience of them, so I can't comment too much, but the fact that the seat tube is 2-piece scares me. You can still get the '04 model in the form of the Yaabaa (A subsidary of Koxx) Totskoye. Plus the Totskoye is only something like £245 from Cleanbikes.co.uk as apposed to the £400-ish for the '06 Levelboss.
  11. The Koxx push-in seat looks normal-ish. I don't know what the diameter for it is. But you can get it from Cleanbikes.co.uk I think.
  12. A '96/'97 Apollo MTB. Was suprising nice on the back wheel. It was just that, with it being an 18" frame, I got hit in the nuts by the seat anytime I tried jumping up walls, etc. First real trials bike will be the Zebdi I'm building up now.
  13. I guess this will cause controversey, too. But... I have a black family three doors down from me. I grew up with the kids and got on with them very well. But really, the Grandmother is the only decent one in the house. The kids hit puberty and went all "gangsta" and started getting very large chips on their shoulders. And I'm afraid to say that that's my main experience of black people - a hell of a lot of them carry around chips on their shoulders. I even get called "cracker" by some of Africans in a nearby town. My family has never been in the slave trade and I've never touched a whip. I guess they just watch too many Wu-Tang videos? Maybe next time I'll remind them how black people ended up in slavery... because Africans took white slaves who rebelled and took revenge. Get a lot of Kosovan's here, too. They just segregate themselves and impregnate the 13-year-old girlies so they can get extended visas. If they're commiting paedophilia here I wonder why they can't go back to Kosovo? And recently I've been hearing what I can only think is "what're you looking at, honky-boy?" In broken English. Think yourself lucky! Around here they stab you. Or if you're 14, they rape you.
  14. I buy boxes and boxes of Oreo's from there all the time! Although my Basset ends up jumping all over me until I feed it half the pack usually. I've seen a lot of this stuff in Europe packaging, sold for cheap in the Greek and Turkish shops by Green Lanes in London (near Finsbury Mosque). So if you want the stuff and can get to the area make sure you look in.
  15. Or she thinks he's gay and therefore not a threat. I doubt this scenario but it's a possibility.
  16. You are a minority, Honky/whiteboy/snowman/snowflake/milkybar kid/cracker/Triple-K kid. No two people are exactly the same. Therefore any one person is susceptible to predjudice. Just get over it and live life rather than trying to be a pseudo-hero.
  17. Can you garuntee that the biggest one doesn't punch like a train has hit you? No. Bide your time and crack their skulls open when the odds are against them. However if you have to take a beating, take it like a man. Fighting back only gets you worse in the shit. Or, if like me you're a vicious b*****d (now-a-days, back when I got jumped I was weedy!) just try to gauge out their eyes, kick them in the balls, plant your forearm in their jaw, punch them as hard as possible in the Jugular (can cause a stroke ), whatever it takes to get the job done and come out in one piece... dirty fighting is the way to win a ruck.
  18. Personally, I think you did the right thing. About 6 years ago I got jumped by a large group of chavs, one of them carrying a pool que. I took the beating without fighting back because I guessed that if I had fought back I would have been ten times worse off. In other words, brains over braun. Yes, it does. But if you're out-numbered then fighting them is stupid. It's ok saying, "I would just walk into the group and slap the offender." But why do that? You can't garuntee the rest won't jump on you. I know that around here the packs of chavs all just "jump in" if their mate is fighting. I would just back down, head home, pick up my baseball bat and pay them a visit with fairer odds.
  19. They're running them on the mod's pictured on gubike.com so I would guess they go well.
  20. My mate had a Ferret called Creature.. it died when it decided it would try to kill a Christmas bauble.
  21. Haha. Seems like a bit of a "teenage fantasy." I don't think a petition will make Onza sit up and listen to you. If you think you could be on the Onza team then film a video and send it to them. However, if the petition works let me know; I'll start one stating that I should be positioned as Microsoft's CEO and email a copy to Bill.
  22. Nicer in that pic than on the 24seven website. But it is just a Pitbull with BMX spacing and horizontal dropouts.
  23. Since Apple put in crappy batteries that need replacing after 18 months... and you have to pay something like £100 to have it replaced. But Apple are partly owned by Bill Gates so I guess you can expect to get conned.
  24. I = V/R... You know the voltage is 7.2V. But you need to know the resistence to calculate the Capacitance.
  25. Haven't done these in years so I would suggest taking someone elses advice over mine, but from the stills I would suggest... 1. On your preload, shift your arse further back and lower down which'll put you further off-balance to the back when you lift the front wheel. 2. Jump as normal, then when you reach the end of the kick... 3. Throw your hips into the bars/stem ("humping the bars") rather than throwing all of your weight over them. 4. Finally, think of those executive desk toys with the metal balls that clink together... as your hips get as far as they can go, throw the bike up and forwards like it's one fluent motion. Atleast, that's the technique I was told to use when I was learning years ago on my old MTB... might be a bit different now.
