Personally I wouldn't have thought so. But it depends if you want to experiment with how light or harsh they are I guess? When I get around to buying a rim and have to grind it I'll be using a set speed grinder and controlling it through the speed you rotate the rim at and the pressure you apply to the rim. I guess it depends how comfortable you are with grinding? I spend most winters installing Fireman's switches in brick walls and have gotten used to whipping the grinder out and making a dust cloud... if, however you're not too handy with a grinder you could try the variable speed option. I'd put this down to personal preference.

Past statistics showed that Ginger girls are kinkier on the whole. Although, maybe that's like the whole thing with fat girls? After years of ridicule they feel blessed to have any bloke showing interest in them. So they do everything to keep them?! I'm just kidding... they won't do everything.

My New Ride.. Iolobikes.com Trials Frame 4 . Ohh Yeaa !

Reminds me of the Fluro XTP Hermance was riding... except yours looks sweet. Seen three of your frames built up now and I just gotta say... expect an order from me some time in Autumn -
An over-priced amp that makes a horrible American sound?! If we're going into amps I prefer Laney. British made, fair prices and they're not Marshall!

As far as I know "tremolo picking" is just fast alternate picking. Should be an explanation in Total Guitar.

Not too bad. I don't mind the shape personally. I just don't like Peavey.. hot humbuckers aren't my thing either. If you wanted something weird looking and hot sounding, I would have picked a Les Paul Gothic with Floyd Rose... Only 22 frets. But you could just learn to bend properly to get the higher notes All-in-all, I like it... but I'm still a Gibson whore. (Hopefully I'll have enough to get a decent SG by New Year!) All you need now is a beefy Marshall valve amp to go with the hot hb's.

So Who Wants A 24"? Found A Beauty

7 Days left and 15 bids already?! These people obviously have no idea about winning eBay auctions. A high maximum bid in the last couple of minutes. That's how you win auctions... and you get it cheaper than fighting for a winning bid with 7 days to go. -
Why not wait and see what price the Try-All Freewheel is released at over here? The thread in the News section said something like £50 and I think it was 103ep's on three sets of three pawls?? I forget. But out of these two, when I build a long bike I plan to use the Tensile front freewheel. As JT said, 12ep's difference is too little to quarel about and the price difference makes it a one-horse race in my eyes. Although, I really don't know shit about freewheels so don't take too much notice of me.

Only difference is 10mm in length for the Pure and A2 short. Other than that you have to decide between a 18mm and 55mm BB rise. I personally can't see the fascination with high BB's... never tried one but having a higher centre of gravity doesn't bode well with me... and the higher the BB the quicker you'll reach the point of balance on the back wheel so you need to equalise it with a high stem... I can only imagine it feels weird i would go with the Pure.

It looks to me that you plug the "iPodoff" part into an iPod as a reciever. Then the remote controls it. Now, I can't see anyone who isn't a master pick-pocket fitting the reciever to an iPod then sneaking back to their seat, turning down the iPod, then retrieving the reciever when they need to get off the bus/train/whatever. In other words, it's bollocks. Looks like a joke anyway. If it's not, it's the single-most shite invention ever created. If it is real, the only use for this is with those speaker docks. Although, I would still prefer to use a proper stereo system.

There are new-build 'hangers' on Rochester industrial estate... Up by Comet and the airport. Try ringing Watson Real Estate on 01634 831118. If they don't have anything still going spare ask them if they know of someone with lots still available. Explain the situation to them and I'm sure they'll help. If you don't want to phone them, they're based in Chatham close to the Gun Shop. If that doesn't return anything let me know and I'll help in looking around for a place.

Wireless electricity... it's called Static Electricity. Electricity can travel through air. Think about what happens when you get a Static shock. Tesla coils are exactly that - coils. They're essentially creating a giant electro-magnet. (The cone in the centre of the coil will drag magnetic materials into it. They also create immense amounts of heat... as far as I remember, anyway. Plus, I would imagine that when you 'switch it on' you would get a huge capacitance surge and it would kill most poeple standing in its vicinity that weren't in those dopey looking suits. I saw that on Slashdot ages ago. Except it was still in development by a professor in Japan. It's basically the real version of the camo. suit in the Splinter Cell games. Last I saw of it the projection always looked 'bright' and caused an error in contrast. Only time though.

The '90s weren't the dark ages. I remember bouncing around on walls back in '99 on a converted Apollo MTB (more of swapping the cranks round, adding a 22t single chainring and putting a bash ring on than a conversion). Back then the only trials bikes I'd seen were an Azonic DS1 and a Planet-X Jackflash with Magura set. (Astounded me at the time). I remember the Jackflash had to have an angle grinder taken to it to get 2.5" tyre clearance. I remember the shitty generic V-Brake's I had to put up with, too. No bite whatsoever... until we crushed coke cans into our spokes, spun the wheels and voila... instant bite. I've seen someone saying that anything bigger than a curb used to be fair game. I think the same thing. I doubt half the new school riders would be interested in many of the spots I know of purely because they're not 50"+ walls. Although, it's good to adapt with any advances in a sport. So I'm not bothered either way.

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard.

Not only is hair removal cream dangerous on genitals but it stinks like nothing else on Earth. I can always tell when my girlfriend has used it... mainly from my chronic heaving. Electrolysis uses low voltage charges to kill the hair follicles. Although, I've spoken to girls who have had it done on their legs and complained that it leaves blackened pores. It's recommended for people with blonde hair and unqualified practitioners may leave you with some lovely scars. Waste of money... All-in-all, is it really worth the hassle? It'll cause more problems to keep it away. Plus the hair is there for a reason. Would you happily shave your eyebrows off?

[attachmentid=4911] Definately in need of this. EDIT: This time it wasn't me getting ribbed for being disgusting. I feel honoured.

Very nice... liking the polished/blue theme. Hope it rides well.

It was a joke, chappy. Whatever your hang-ups are, I have never discouraged a girl from the sport. I never made any jokes about incest towards you. So "everyone on here" is incorrect. Learn to take a joke for f*ck sake. As for the guy who started the thread... help her get into trials if that's what she wants. Don't push her into anything though. -

Nice riding. Remember that wall in Parkwood being a lot higher. (Although I was a lot shorter then).

I asked Rob Walker about this the other day. He told me that the people backing the competition had given the impression they would be giving a lot of help to aid in its setup. But apparently they haven't done shit towards it. I had suggested a location I'd seen which was vacant on the same industrial estate as the local skate park. But I don't know what's happening. Maybe one of the Medway trials lot could give some sort of update?
