  1. well i'm getting a new frame so earlier today i went to strip my frame the only problem i encountered was that the left crank would not come off and the threads that are used to put on the crank puller all stripped so i ended up taking it out as a two piece and my BB is also quite different to any i have seen before so does anyone know a good way of getting it off i've tryed carb cleaner and should i just try thin penetrating oils and a massive hammer.
  2. is it adamant and if so i looked on their website and they seem to be all stock so are they releasing a new mod frame plus will it have a bash plate and does anyone have an idea on the release date then?
  3. if u think you have spelt it wrong use the spell checker Quibell
  4. i have been looking all day for a replacement frame for my monty 221pr. i am definitely looking for a frame with a bashguard although not a really long frame like the zona, and i think that the 20.1 toxsin mod will be to short although the wheelbase maybe a little longer than my previous monty but as i am growing would a longer bike maybe more suitable and will i get used to it whatever length it is as i prefer to do manuals but also like gaps to front wheel and wheel-swaps etc. so could any one recommend a decent frame around 990-1015mm WB and around £200-£300
  5. all the reviews are saying good beginner bike, but say someone of a higher level was to ride it would it reduce their progression or break quickly, or is it just that all the people on this topic are beginners or something. :$ as i am looking for a nice replacement for my cracked 2006 221Pr frame
  6. i agree i cant see any real advantages that make cable disks worth buying i would definately go for a magura or a hope disk, paying for quality!
  7. i would definitely recommend my magura louise as the are the best disk brake in my opinion i found gaps to front easier with this disk than with HS33 it has great modulation for stoppies and down hills but also has immense lock when you need to stop dead they are also very nice to look at, the only thing i ever worried about with mine was if i took a real hard slam the first time i pulled the lever in it would come further down than usual but that was only on the first pull after getting the hoses untangled and the bike upright so it may be the same with all disks as they have resovoirs unlike HS33s
  8. star nut is in the forks im retarded i cant beleive i even got that confused :$ as i regularly take apart and grease ma headset so i do actually know where it is i was just really confused :$
  9. if u are going to put tubing down your headtube to smack out the cups does that mean you will also have to hit the starnut all the way out + can the star nut be used again or is a replacement in order
  10. i use ma bash loads in street say the wall is to high to back wheel or go straight up, their is still the option of getting up using your bash, they are especailly useful when riding thin walls as plates are the easiest option if u are going bash to backwheel and is also the reason i would have a zona not a python (BASHPLATE)
  11. thanks for the advise were is the best cheapest place to buy a zona because the polished ones are like 189 on www.supercycles.co.uk
  12. when will their be some pics of the snapped zona P.S. was it dented and thrashed orr relatively new as i am looking to purchase a zona zip on monday
  13. either as above or sticky toffee cake (A) or the original treacle sponge whats with cream people should all eat CUSTARD
  14. after looking on tarty bikes would it be wort the extra cash to buy an echo lite or is the zona actually a good bike not just a cheap copy of the python
  15. thanks for the quick replies. i was thinking of just getting a cheap zona zip as i heard they are strong and as my monty broke in a matter of months i want something that will last. does any one know if the bottom bracket from my 221pr will fit in the zonazip frame :$
  16. i have a monty which is cracked in 2-3 places and i'm planning on getting it welded but will it be strong enough for street riding and decent size drop gaps and rails etc. as it is cracked at the headtube and on one side of the chain stay bout 1" away from the BB
  17. i ride a monty so have a bashguard which i probably use my bash more in street then natural as their are alot more chances of slipping back for instance when back wheeling a railing, slipping on to a ring just throws u right of the side were as a bash plate, it sits on the rail giving a decent amount of time to dismount the bike with out injury if u are lucky.
  18. many new mod frames are being build without bash plates such as the GU Typhoon or the Zoo Python is it purely to save weight or is their a real reason for it
  19. i was told the little drill holes around the bike were to allow hot air to escape whilst it is being welded together :$
  20. i have recently bought a monty 221Pr and it has many cracks appearing all over it their is one were the down tube meets the headtube and one just behind the bottom bracket on the chain stay and also one up the the collar at the bottom of the seat tube it is possible to get a new frame off monty for free or cheap :$ if not could anyone recommend a good strong frame that is a decent price! thanks.
  21. i was just looking at a wheelbuilding stand and their was a dishing one and one for building and truing, if truing is just getting out all the buckles what is dishing a wheel. :$
  22. the kid on the levelboss were not quibell he has a beasty ONZA drops are crappy bottesford is crappy ONZA are crappy But quibell is ace *cough*/*cough*BullShit*cough*/*cough*
  23. and then when you get their u can sample some of dank's awesome riding skills , cos bottesford is a pile like 1 spot to ride and their is a crazy chinese man there.
  24. tell them that their mum is using your seat as a D*LDO
  25. If it isnt a sealed hub your cones may be loose, if not i would replace it, when my monty hubs kept collapsing i went to a t-mag hub as my brothers is still goin at a few years. Seem to be one of onza's better products
