  1. I don't think the spindles on ISIS BB's snap very easily. Have you ever broken one? Personally I'd go with the wider BB for a better choice of cranks/bashes/chainrings/frames if you do need to change. As for the bearings... there are 2 types of ISIS BB's - good ones and crap ones. The length has very little effect on how long the bearings will last. Jon
  2. I drive a Rover Metro 1.1 Nightfire. Vrey exciting. As a second car, me and a mate have gone halves on a Metro 1.4 Gti for road rallying. It's rapid. Jon
  3. Those rocks were built over 180 years ago. Sadly I have a Ball to attend and I'll turn into a pumpkin if I ride next weekend. Will hopefully make it out during the week some evening. Jon
  4. I recieved the first 2 pairs of production models this morning. Once they're fitted, expect some pictures and some feedback... Jon
  5. I should be out on Sat. There's a guy called Nick wanting to ride too. Can someone PM me a mobile number cos I'm sure I'll be late. Ta Jon
  6. looks almost right... The IP there should probably be your IP, and I'd guess the 192.168.1.1 is the IP of the router. The external packet port needs to be set to the right number and UDP too. Jon
  7. My experience of that router is it's a pain in the arse. Your best bet is probably to install the uPnP bit for windows (Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components, Networky type stuff) Assuming the software/P2P client you're using supports it, it'll ask the router to open the appropriate ports when they're needed. Jon
  8. Ours is also being upgraded for free. They're also introducing a fair usage thing - I think they might object to the huge amounts of data that I've downloaded/uploaded. There'll be an off-peak time (1am -8am I think) where they don't monitor/don't care. Jon
  9. Thanks Tom. Looks like a great pic. I don't think I'll make it to Notts tonight - too much work on at the moment. Hoping to get out riding this weekend somewhere, preferably on some rocks. Jon
  10. Anyone fancy riding Notts tonight (weds 16th) or tomorrow (17th) in the evening. I'm not sure what the weather's doing yet. Jon
  11. My computer has been restarting a few times recently... I've found it to be due to the automatic updates - windows gets impatient and restarts itself. Could be that? How often does it do it? Jon
  12. That brought a tear to my eye. Thanks Sue. Jon
  13. I'm parking at Tom's unless laziness means we park in the Victoria Centre. Jon
  14. I'm waiting for Jansons Buy-Allpod to make an appearance... Jon
  15. I don't think you can have a lock ring that doesn't require a tool... and it's hardly a special tool that you need since it's needed for Truvative and XTR BB's. As for the bash - sounds like a good idea, but people need a reason to change from their current bashes and I don't think it offers much over a standard bash. I think I'll wait and see what other companies are offering later in the year since I've heard rumours about new bashguards... Jon
  16. My excuse: It would take far too long and most of my mp3's are in sensible filenames anyway. Jon
  17. Here's mine: I didn't wait for winamp to finish reading all the ID3 tags. I should tidy it but I'm too lazy. Jon
  18. Before you get all excited, ask Clive for a list of colours - There's not a great deal of choice. I couldn't have a dark blue or a purple :D Jon
  19. Could try Roadie Cork stuff - you just wrap it around the bars. Ask in an LBS, or look on CRC or Ribble. Jon
  20. I'm sure someone who's handy with a lathe could knock you up an adapter a little cheaper. PM Dave85 perhaps? If I ever sort out my bars/stems I might end up with a spare adapter, but that's not going to be for a couple of months... Jon
  21. 1.how old are you 21-30 2.where did you buy your phone from and why? O2 Online - it was cheap 3.what do you mostly use your phone for? texts 4.are you on contract or pay as you go ? I'm sure they do, but I'm not about to scour there website for them 9.what makes you want to buy a phone when the old one breaks 10.what makes you choose a particular network? what network peers are on, and price 11.how much are you willing to spend on your next phone? nowt - i'd expect one as part of a contract 12. if a phone had a lot of media coverage would it tempt you more to buy it? no 13.How much do you spend a month on phone top-ups or contract?(roughly) £25
  22. Yes, the big lions (not like you'll be able to read it in time) I'll be there with hititfaster. Might be earlier since I'm finishing work in Derby. Jon
  23. Did you enjoy it? I'm working so can't comment on the video though... Jon
  24. M25->M1->Junc 24 -> A453 ->> Nottingham (South) Or Junc 25 -> A52 -> Nottingham (West) Not sure on the services though... Jon
  25. I strip it down when I have a new frame... so not very often. Everything I run now runs on sealed bearings so that's not much help to you. Other than cleaning/re-greasing the hub often... You could add a 'grease port' to the hub - drill a small hole in the hub shell and then use a syringe to pump grease into it. The old grease should come out where the bearings aren't sealed. Hopefully along with any crap that's got in. Otherwise keep saving :( Jon
