Hayes cables are rubbish, if you want to run a cable disk use an avid bb7. i run the 185mm rotor and my friend runs the 205mm. they work really good! but i recommend using ebc red pads.

Thank you fellers for the info, never run cable discs before so a bit green on whats good and whats french.

i put a hayes mx2 on my girlfriends bike with some fibrax pads and a hope trials rotor, set it up nicely with an SD7 lever and it works fine! its only 160mm too. gaps to front and everything on it!

I would have said that Hayes MX2 cable disc's would be crap, but i am currently running one with an Avid lever and its insane, it's only a 160mm rotor, but it is flipping powerful.

My mate runs the exact same setup, the disk is clean and everything but its so insanley shit, I guess your just lucky
