Greetings Posted March 10, 2008 Report Share Posted March 10, 2008 doesnt matter if the video file have 720 pixels or 1080. firewire only captures SD images with 720 blurry pixels. you only can get a clean image if you capture by a hdmi PCI card, which cost arround 400$Firewire is a data transfer port, it has nothing to do with video resolution.HDV data rate is exactly the same as DV and firewire controllers can easily cope with such bandwidth.You've got a problem distinguishing HD from HDV.
