Magura Crossover Cable Switching

On the end of the cross over, on both sides there are fittings referred to as "bards" which the plastic housing has been streched over. These has an 8mm(i think) spanner on them. Undo these on both sides. Then if you need to cut each of these out the ends of the cross over. I believe the easiest way is to make a cut from the base of the bard to the tip of it then pull it away with some long nose pliers. Then measure your current cross over to be able to cut the correct length to make the new one. Or buy one complete from tarty. If you go for the make your own one. you will need magura clamps (dont know what they are officially called) which hold the house whilst you hammer the bard in. then just stick it back on your brake and rebleed it.

bard fitting

magura hose for making the new cross over

the hose clamps as mentioned above

Ready made cross over

im pretty sure thats all you'll need. well hammer and knifes and pliers or whatever other tool you discover can be used to remove the bards from the hose.

Thats got nothing to do with speaking in recognisable english, it's about calling things by their proper name, that way people can work out what you're talking about. (Y)

That's a little bit contradictory isn't it? :S
