Running Front Brake Cable Through A Thick Steerer Tube (New Echo Urban

Hi all, new to the forum, as well as the sport.

I want to set up my bike for learning barspins (and later on, whips). After searching online, the general idea seems to involve using a larger diameter hollow stem bolt and starnut set...

The problem is that I run an echo urban fork with the extra thick steerer tube, and it doesnt seem like this hollow bolt starnut would fit ( I assume they're designed for forks with regular thickness steer tubes)... Does anyone have suggestions for running the brake cable through thick steerer tubes?

Thanks.

You can remove one of the arms of the star nut that you use currently and drill a hole through the top cap. Then just run your cable through. Alternatively use a headlock and drill a hole through that.

have a look on static bikes. i managed to do it with my identiti. they should fit.

Neither of these ideas are really practical with the echo urban steerers.
