Joachim Posted November 11, 2010 Report Share Posted November 11, 2010 Hey guys. Just built my 2009 Zoo Pirahna, but just realised that the chainstay is too long for my chain to fit. It should be like 3mm shorter, and it would fit perfectly. However, I dont want to use a tensioner, and not halflink. What should I do? ! Joachim Posted November 11, 2010 Author Report Share Posted November 11, 2010 (edited) 18-15 ratio, its an old Trialtech chain from tartybikes, so I guess its streched a bit. Mark W Posted November 11, 2010 Report Share Posted November 11, 2010 A new chain like a 610 or 510 would probably be better in the short term (not least because if your chain is old you should be thinking of changing it anyway ). That might get it pretty close, and they don't stretch much so they should stay reasonably tight. If it loosens up a little you could try a spoke tensioner too.
