Jake.
I've had this samsung s3 for a year and a few months. On new years I got pretty drunk, dropped it, bent battery putting it back in and it wasn't working properly. It would turn on for 2 seconds, turn off, back on, and on the rare occasion it did turn on properly it lasted 30 seconds tops, and if I pressed the lock button it would turn it of again. I ordered a new battery. New battery arrived. Nothing changed. What do I do?!
Pashley26
Take it to a phone shop. You still drunk?
fruitbat
I would say you've probably knackered an internal connection in your drunken mishap, no easy way to tell how hard/easy it will be to repair without having someone who knows what they are doing take a look - which is likely to cost. With the prices of used phones these days, might be easier, quicker and cheaper to buy a used phone to put you on
Jake.
I hate phone shops and how they work and everything, they overcharge and take too long to do things. Cheers fruitbat. The only phone shop I've been happy to go to is Apple. Haha I wish I was still drunk, really pissed off at this. Just remembered I've got insurance on my phone though, I read up that if I wanted a new phone I'd still have to pay towards it though! The f**k! They usually don't have many components that are connected to each other, everything is on the main circuit board.I'd say it's pretty fecked. Prepare yourself for a new phone! Have only seen the inside of an S2 recently whilst changing a screen, agreed there aren't many connections in there but still a few things that could be damaged when dropping it, "internal connection" was probably wrong word to use, "it's pretty fecked" was probably a better way of saying it.
Jake.
Ok. My phone has been working for a solid half day (touchwood). Samsung's are f**king weird. This thing has had tonnes of issues in the past like freezing, but always somehow manages to sort itself out. For anyone who's got a bit of patience and are willing to work their way through problems, get a samsung. For anyone who likes pure and simple, just take into shop if any problems happen get an iPhone. My samsung has taken a HELL of a beating though I'll admit that lol.
