will the new avid juicy ultimates be THE disc brake for trials, and perhaps push forward the acceptance of rear disc?

It looks like carbon fibre, i'm not sure, and id say no to a disk on the rear full stop, especially with the lack of frames that actually have disks on the rear and there's not as much variation in disks, e.g pads ect. Imo I would never give up my rear maggie for a disk, too easy to bend as well.

Seems a bit narrow minded considering the amount of riders who are switching to rear disc + koxx developing a whole new range of frames with disc mounts....

I want to know more.... it looks good, tastes good, feels good, is good. Or is it?
