02 Sim Card Genie Prob

Ello boyz. I dont kno all that much about phones so I might be being a thicko here.

I just got an 02 genie sim pay as u talk, pay £10 monthly (300 free txts a month monkey business).

I came from a virgin sim (Pay as you go) and everythin was gd, reception bob on (Y) etc.

Whacked new 02 sim in, and as soon as my phone fires up, a error appears saying 'SIM card registration failed', all my contacts are there and stuff cos I copied them but I have no reception whatsoever to activate my account. Do I have to put £10 on for all this to work properly?

Any ideas?

Ta.

Edit: all I want to do is activate my sim card by calling a FREE number.

Never heard of this one before.

Have you tryed making an outgoing call yet ?

Try ringing your new number ?

or try calling 2527 FREE :P:)

Just to mention also :

Putting 10 pounds of credit on (on some networks) activates the sim :)
