I am affraid i am not an old school rider but wish i could ride old school style but i aint smooth enogth.

keep up the old school style i love it get a video out (Y)

old schools not about being smooth its about having a normal looking bike but you are able to use it to traverse difficult objects, becoming smooth takes time. iv been riding for 3 and a half years now and im still learning new moves and improving my style. should maybe have a video for you in a couple of weeks.

Yer get a video on the go, I want to see an old school bike for once lol, getting bored of long, low and silver!!

cheers bud, will do. not into that whole uci style of bike thats around nowadays. need to reinvigorate the older riders out there or influence the new generation to come back to using bikes that look like bikes.

I woudnt say its about riding a normal bike, just a short bike thats old...

I got into trials in 1999 and ride a 2000 monty 231 x-lite, i consider that to be pretty old school.

Not quite as old school as say a kona hardtail with the two outer rings taken off, but hey, my bike

rides well :P

yeah i understand what your saying, my pashleys 2001 frame. im just trying to get my point across that theres much more than just your koxx or mbk frames out there. there are bikes or frames still around from which trials evolved.

I think part of the problem is there arent really any affordable old type frames with modern

geo out there, although i wouldnt be surprised if mr ashton has a few tricks up his sleeve

that he may whip out when this merger with orange happens...

yeah ashton said himself that there should be more older type frame around. there are companys out there eg. curtis and leeson that can custom make frames to any geometry you could wish for and there prices arent so ba compared to some of the pro models the bigger companys in the industry are selling.

Ah wicked, old school or as I like to call them "back in the day" trials bikes!!! Cannondale Beast of the East, Pashley 26mhz, Giant Hawes replica, Heavy Tools!!!! Then Brisa came along and it was all change!

Trouble was in those days all I could afford was a Barracuda Ghetto frame, and the most "trialsy" part on it was my raceline maggys (still going strong on a diet of water to this day, about 5 years later)!!

Pictures of the Leeson frames were like porn in those days..... still are in fact, but I must admit I have given in to the UCI style, I guess because I have a car my bike doesn't need to function as a regular bike anymore!

I love these little trips down memory lane, who remembers "Chain Spotting"?!?!?!?!?

i can't stand these new wave frames to be honest i mean if i was to go new wave i'd have a mod but i see them as cheating personally as there for small people to ride before they move to a stock when there big enough but that could just my personal view lol

not my view completely, trials frames have evolved with the type of riding the pro riders have to deal with ie natural terrain comps and this seems to have gained a market for this type of frame. but this doesnt mean that everyone has to buy them. but ill still keep riding the same style of bike no matter what.
