Front Freewheel

hey, well if you get a try-all freewheel the lock ring which is the part that loosens is on the opposite side to normal so it doesnt come loose. you can get welded freewheels but you cannot service them so i wouldnt buy one. freewheels dont come loose often so it doesnt mater. but all it involves is putting a small screw driver into a hole and tapping the lockring round till its tight.

i heard that they may come loose aswell but when i bought mine and thought i would put it together to see what it looks like, i spun the freewhell on and just buy spinning it on i couldnt get it loose with out a lot of force plus when you pedal its tightening so i cant see them coming loose often and if it does i doesnt take much to tighten them up again.

Acs freewheels and most other rear wheel designed freewheels will come loose if used on the front, tensile, eno, monty 72, or try-alll freewheels are designed for front use and therefore will not come loose, you can get these from Tarty Bikes
